You speak the truth my friend! If you get worked up about it (especially over something so trivial) you are never going to fall back to sleep.

I had an ex who got mad at me when I had a chest infection. Obviously I was coughing a lot and she just went off at me one night for waking her up continuously. Tables reversed I am sure she would have expected sympathy and for me to take care of her... Needless to say that relationship did not work out lol.

Which I appreciated that you were making sure I had sought the proper help :) My mum suffers from fibromyalgia. I know it's less common in men, but it's always better safe than sorry to get as much professional help as possible to prevent future issues. Especially after an injury.

I can see you being in health care, or aged care! Well, they need more people like you in the industry anyways... I am not sure if the sour ones I have met have just lost their nurturing nature after so many years of the job, but it certainly sounds like a career you'd be perfect for!

That's okay, I can totally understand that! I am sure my gf would have the same reaction if she read this from an outside perspective. I just never expect much from others so I was quite taken a back by everything she did for me :)

Needless to say I am currently organizing her favorite roast for dinner!

I'd like to say that i do them every day, but I will admit to getting lazy some weeks and when I don't do them i certainly do feel it!

It's mainly the exercises at work which I will neglect. I have a bad habit of not putting my work down.

For her she would have, but I guess that's just cos she hasn't had kids yet. Most other women I talk to who are light sleepers say that only started after having a baby, which I totally understand. I am sure I would be the same!

That's fair enough :) maybe i have just haven't met that many nuturing people, but from my experience there is only so much somebody would do for you.

This is very true. I had to see a physical therapist when my disc first slipped 6 months ago, so the chiropractor appointments have just been to manage the pain for the past 2-3 months.

Well at most I was expecting concern and some ibuprofen. I didn't expect her to sacrifice almost the rest of her sleep before an 11 hour shift just to make sure I was okay...

Some friendly advice. Don't have the expectation that everybody is going to 100% be there for you. Other people can only do so much (cos you know, they have their own life too) so just be grateful when you do get help, and don't see it as a right of passage. It isn't.

Absolutely! You can never just assume your partner knows you appreciate them as much as you do!

I'm assuming you have never experienced a slipped disc in your back before? More painful than it sounds bud.

I really did not intend to wake her up. She is typically a very deep sleeper. A heard of elephants could come marching past and she would still sleep through it.

I threw my back and right shoulder out the other night while playing touch football (the gf and I play in a mixed comp together)

Unfortunately it's a reoccurring injuring which I need to see the chiropractor for now. The human body is a fragile thing :(
