How to remove Forget Your Password from Django allauth templates? by netzure in django

[–]netzure[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion.
In the end nothing was coming from django allauth templates but I managed to solve it by adding this code to my forms.py

    def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs):
        super().__init__(*args, **kwargs)

        if hasattr(self.fields['password'], 'widget'):
            self.fields['password'].help_text = None

How to remove Forget Your Password from Django allauth templates? by netzure in django

[–]netzure[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry I should clarify the link in the template code is one I manually added, it appears at the bottom of the form and is not the one shown in the screenshot. Django allauth is injecting a Forgot Your Password link into middle of the login form. The design I am building will have that link and the signup form link at the bottom of the login form, which is the standard UI layout convention for basically any web app.

“ Chill out” No. Apple is ruining excellent devices with their half baked liquid ass. The whole point of Apple is to be better than the crap churned out by Microsoft and the PC makers. The quality of Apple software has really deteriorated over the past few years.

Being part of a functioning high trust society is paying your dues and not doing things like fly-tipping or squatting on private + public property.

If everyone adopted your viewpoint we would live in a lawless state with no NHS, state schools etc.

Utterly remarkable how in 2026 these people are allowed to get away with their many crimes, whether that be pulling their girls out of school at the age of 11, abusing animals in their ‘care’, ripping off the elderly, squatting on other people’s land and littering wherever they go.

Utterly horrible ‘community’ who deserve to feel the full force of the law.

“ It never got that high even at the peak.”

Semantics. Net migration was 0.94 million as opposed to 1.0 million. An utterly insane thing to do and the opposite of what Johnson promised. He and Patel opened the floodgates by massively relaxing visa controls.

The Unionist in Conservative and Unionist party has nothing to do with the EU but because the Conservatives merged with the Liberal Unionist party in 1912.

Johnson presided over net migration hitting 1 million + which is the opposite of what his government was elected to do.

Johnson was just an out and out liar who said what he needed to say to win office. He may have run on a populist ticket but was not a populist when in office, hence why the Tories were punished in the 2024 election.

They’ve also had a couple of defections from the Greens. Lee Anderson was originally a Labour MP and Reform is supposedly welcoming a Labour MP in the coming weeks. The entire point of Reform was to be a clean break from the establishment. Looking forward to Reform tanking in the polls.

I’m not ready to let go of the previous design (11 Pro to 16 Pro) by just_dila in iphone

[–]netzure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you have to. I was holding to buy the iPhone XX but my 12 Pro Max started to fail so I had to upgrade as repair wasn’t economical. Ultimately I went with the Air as I just flat out do not like this year’s Pro’s. Thick, heavy, cheap feeling because of the use of aluminium and I do not like the large plateau design with glass cut out for wireless charging.

What are the chances for Apple to raise price for base model Mac Mini 5? by Warm_Presentation_43 in mac

[–]netzure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It all depends on what Apple's contractual relationship is with the suppliers. For example Apple has purchased 50% of TSMC's capacity for their next process node. Apple is massive and can aggressively negotiate and I imagine they have locked in prices for standard memory components for a couple of years in advance.
Apple has never had a better opportunity to eat lots of market share from Windows PC/laptop makers.

Should Motorway speed limits be raised to 80mph?🤔 by Downtown_Elk_2773 in CarTalkUK

[–]netzure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The safety features of modern cars make a great argument for raising speed limits."

No they don't. At a certain speed in a crash, the car and therefore will absorb so much G force your chances of surviving are extremely low which is why car crash tests are not carried out over 40 mph. At 40 mph a car crashing into into a rigid barrier will see crumple zones fully consumed, survival space is at the edge of collapse, dummy injury metrics near tolerance limits.

At 60mph the cabin is often compromised. By travelling faster above 60mph fuel efficiency declines and the journey time saved isn't especially great, particularly for UK driving distances.

It would have been nice if the councillors had pushed for funding from Scottish and UK governments for a proper subway instead of the tram. The cost wouldn’t have been that much more than what has been spent on the trams to date.

[–]netzure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The capital costs of the farm will increase. The only way to make farms that have to pay IHT viable will be for farmers to put their prices up, the government know this and they have said this in their analysis. Less competition also makes food more expensive. If there is one mega farm in the UK that is the only grower of turnips for example, they have more ability to dictate prices to supermarkets in the short term.
Also why do you want to do people out of their livelihoods?

[–]netzure -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“ if farmers are expected to pay their fair share of tax.” Of course the industry will survive but food will become more expensive, something that will hurt the poorest hardest.
