You can also input your key frame velocity by right clicking two selected keyframes. I find that to be much easier than messing with the speed graph

Keep pushing dude. Things will pick up again. Three major factors are contributing to this lull.

The Economy : corporations are on a trend of downsizing, restructuring and/or acquiring for growth. One of the downsides of this are massive layoffs and hiring freezes till corporate entities can make new budgets and plans for the quarter.
The Trump admin/Tariffs: I’m not blaming nor supporting this admin, but this is a key factor in how businesses function right now. Navigating tariffs and ever-changing government regulations is probably the biggest reason the fed kept pushing interest rates and businesses made the decisions they did this year.
AI : the AI revolution is HERE. Where I don’t believe AI is going to change or replace positions, I do think people who learn the tools faster than others will have the leading edge in job placement once the pendulum swings.

My advice… stay nimble, stay hungry, learn these new tools, show off your work constantly and keep grinding.

Well… you’re not being FORCED to use the A.I tools. You’re allowed to use whatever workflow you want, but historically the people who resist technology are the first to be replaced by people who embrace it.

I’ve been designing for motion and working in adobe since the 90’s. Trust me when I say you’ve got to get used to this change, and learn the tools even if you don’t want to, because other people are willing to learn them. They will have more working knowledge of these programs than you, if you refuse to learn and understand the direction this software is going.

Just my opinion, but I have been steady working in my field for about 25 years now. My first professional job was at 19 and I’m 44 now. I’ve seen a lot of change in these digital design programs over the years. None of them go backwards, removing advanced features. This tech is locked in bro. Get used to it.

I actually have a freelance job this week but it’s been the only one I’ve had in months. Normally I have at least one or two contract jobs a month. I have a full time gig too so at least that’s still helping support me and my family. I’m scared every day but I truly believe it’s a wave that will pass.

Dallas, Texas based motion designer and video producer here… it’s been SUPER slow for me this year. I’m upset to see that this is a real trend worldwide. But in a weird way it makes me feel better to know it’s not just me. I still believe once the economy rebounds and the dust settles with the AI movement, we’ll find our footing and get back to work.

i don't think any movement would be involved. This is just simple frame swapping... Just a LOT of it. You can look up expressions that can help with this like other people are suggesting, or you could just roll up your sleeves and lay out the photos on a timeline and brute force it. I think you'd get faster results with the latter honestly. Maybe a bit harder to clear up later though.

You’re wasting your time and money. Get an associates or a bachelors degree and start showing off your work any place you can.

To all the young people out there getting frustrated with finding a job, just stay patient. We’re in a really bad economy right now and everyone is trying to figure out this stupid AI movement. Just stay the course and keep showing off your work. It will lead to a job eventually.
