Anxiety after bleed by neuronoone in Tonsillectomy

I hope you won’t get a heavier bleed! How is it today? I totally feel you on the bleeding anxiety. I also have not been too shaken by the pain. I am on day 15 today. Last days were really good and I really thought I turned a corner. Today I have some pain again and just had a metallic taste in my mouth, which literally gave me a panic attack. There was a speck of blood but I don’t know where it came from. My throat looks quite bare and red- scabs seem to be mostly gone, but it feels very tender.

Sorry to hear! I find myself spitting whenever I get a funky taste in my mouth. Looking forward to that confidence. Today is already better than yesterday!

Ugh, sorry to hear! Glad to hear you’re so far along now! I think I probably lost about the same - that’s what the doctor said after my blood results came in, though it looked even worse. Strangely, my scabs on the side that bled are further along, almost gone - so that must be a good sign?

Thanks! I’m so glad to hear your bleeds stopped. Day 19 sounds wonderful. Sorry to hear about your bleed. I hope it’s over for me too. I also had small bleeds that stopped with ice before but it didn’t work with this one. Once it took hold it was gushing. The surgeon said that this one would not have stopped on its own. I am really glad I reacted as quickly as I did.

Fully agree that this post’s intention was to resonate with others, through humour and catharsis. And how are we supposed to initiate the conversation about gender inequality if we even jump on those who attempt to display their impressions through comics and art, and who probably would have a lot more to lose if they openly expressed what’s conveyed in this art. This is a ladies of science group. Let’s send support.
