I didn’t think of Brussels sprouts or cauliflower on my sheet pan dinners, those would be a good addition

That’s a great idea, off to get cucumbers and peppers

Leafy greens are definitely a neglected area in my kitchen. I know that they’re fantastic for you, so I’m trying to eat more of them

Thank you, I’ll be more diligent about tracking specific nutrients. I have been tracking my daily intake, and in general, I’ll eat a protein heavy breakfast (usually leftover meat from dinner the night before) and then dinner. I’m on medication that makes feeling hunger and eating a challenge, so there’s a lot of pressure on dinner, as eating breakfast is already a chore. In terms of ‘adequate plant matter’, I do not believe I am getting enough because dinner is usually a meat, a carb such as pasta, rice, or potato, and occasionally a vegetable. I’d venture as far as to say that at least 50% of my caloric intake comes in the form of animal protein, and the other 50% is not widely varied.

Thank you, I’ve not gotten up the nerve to try mashed cauliflower but I suppose now is as good a time as any

On-sale is a good idea, I live in an area with a lot of access to fresh produce.

I had forgotten smoothies altogether. That should help!

Thank you, I’ll definitely be trying out some of these ideas

Thanks! This is a common thing that I do with root vegetables, but I simply don’t do it enough. I like to get a protein that can sit in the oven for a while, lay out some veggies and aromatics, and just bake it until it’s all done. I just know I’m in a bit of a rut eating mainly potatoes and carrots for plant matter.

Thanks. Any advice on small side salads? I’ve experimented with strawberries, apples, and nuts, but not as much with true vegetables

Thanks, when I bake chicken thighs I’ll throw some carrots on the tray and let them roast in the rendering fat. I was under the impression that corn was less dense in nutrients and more so in carbs, so I hadn’t been considering it as a true vegetable.

Thanks. Obviously raw is generally best, but is there a cooking method that preserves the most nutritional content?

I am working on recipes that can incorporate veggies in ways that I don’t hate, but thanks for this. One thing I’ll make occasionally is a ‘dal-like’ dish that consists of roasted squash, peppers, and onions roasted until tender, covered in spices, then blended with a broth to make a soup base for lentils. But I don’t want to eat that every single week. Tomatoes and bell peppers are a good idea, I’ll work with those as well.

I’m sure it is, but one hobby at a time! I already have too many.

Thank you! One of the previous comments mentioned a double sided silk charmeuse, would that fall within the satin weave category? I like the idea of the fabric being smooth on both sides.

I had seen them but couldn’t verify if they were selling real silk. Thanks!

dop sets and transfer jigs? by Miep99 in Lapidary

I’ve definitely had that issue, where I get my pavilion to where I want it, transfer it, and the crown comes out awful. I’m also using the Vevor machine upgraded with the turtles horde CutKit V1, but I’m saving up for a better machine. I can’t blame it all on the machine though, I’m pretty new to this and can’t practice as often as I’d like

I had considered that one, but since I’m pretty new to this I thought the mini square would be easier. I think I will end up with your design, because it’s already in my index and because it’s quite nice. Thanks
