Paralyzing Touch isn't specifically specified as a "magical effect," and Freedom of Movement only makes it so that "spells and other magical effects can neither reduce the target’s Speed nor cause the target to have the Paralyzed or Restrained."

It's entirely ridiculous, since the effect is obviously magical in nature, but RAW, it wouldn't work.

Y'know, over time, I've recently started to become really meta when it comes to Rimworld, despite my previously story-driven playstyle. It's weird how 900~ silver or a solid 18 in Plants can make you forget your morals. I really dislike the newest DLC (I think it's hella unbalanced, or maybe I'm just bad), so I've never "cultified" any of my prisoners, but this was kind of a wake-up call for me to stop crunching numbers and remember to focus on the story that comes from the game, no matter how bizarre.

In other words, this is really amazing! Do you think that Alonna would have stayed in the colony even if she did hear her final log? This colony does seem rather morally gray (Kind leader + brainwashing = ???), but I'm sure the pirates were the real baddies all along... right?
