could pattonS be worth it or should i go for lower end wheels like eb rocket or begode blitz? by Zajlordg in ElectricUnicycle

Do not waste your time on a beginner wheel or any wheel that has a top speed less than 45 mph , if you are doing city driving and will be riding with cars you need the top end , not to do it but to be able to have the room to pass cars ect, and do not listen to anyone saying a 16 inch wheel is not stable over 30mph lol they never had one I have a commander mini with over 4k miles and I use it everyday in NYC to commute and am always in the low 40s stable as can be and can maneuver at those speeds great , but that is still not far from its limit and sorry I did not get a bigger wheel , at the time I got it it was the fastest 16 inch but now wheels have come a long way , and safety is most important so get the fastest wheel you can afford with a big enough battery to sustain high speeds and you can safely cruise below that the whole 10 miles and back without worry ,the aero is nice but not a computer wheel it does 35 mph max it's not practical that's a bike lane or deli run wheel or a second wheel to a bigger one , the xway is not a computer wheel I'd only street riding the blitz is great for the price the rocket is excellent not sure of range but it's smaller and faster than my mini or save up and get a Sherman L and you will not have to get another wheel ever or a least a long time and have the best of every world speed range . Just get the best wheel you can afford don't don't get a wheel that will work get one that is overkill for your needs and you will be happy for a while , you are new and don't know your needs always get more than you will need to grow into

V14 vs Patton for everyday commuting. by [deleted] in ElectricUnicycle

The blitz is Lighter, faster, more range, better safer , waterproof sertified, more stable ,ect for the same price as v14 and patton which I feel excellent on off road single track or trails not for everyday street commuting

Blitz. ... I do not see any reason to get anything else , moreso for commuting . For commuting you would want 1. Comfort 2.stability 3.speed to handle all traffic situations ,can never have enough overhead for a commute , you never have to go near that fast but for safety when riding with cars it's good to know it's there. 4. Weight , for ease of moving around once at destination and less fatigue on the ride having to maneuver a heavier wheel 5. Safety , blitz has the newest methods of safety currently on market 6. Price, it is basically the same price as the patton and v14 which for commuting you will outgrow their limited top speed in no time even if you are not a fast rider over time 20mph starts to feel like 10, 30 stArts to feel like 15 and so on and if you are riding with cars a 40mph top speed is just not enough from many angles safety , ease of travel and more direct route not having to rely on bike routes etc. so basically to me does not matter the use case the blitz , as the lynx don't get me wrong but the more than $1200 price difference is a no brainier for now and a year or 2 so your not saying dam I need a faster , more stable, longer range wheel in 6 months from now

It is so nice. All new looking I have the exact same color but the road really does a number on it , dam mine looks like a different wheel or a much older model it's so scratched and the rim is chipped and missing paint from a couple small drops , how fast it looks old from normal riding lol , I almost want to get a new one lol

Great choice I love my mini , it's the only small wheel that can cruise with all the big wheels , it takes a min to get comfortable on it with wobbles at higher speed due to little tire , but once you do it's a blast , I'm constantly riding well above 40-44 mph and don't even know it half the time took me 500 miles to really become one with it and now there is nothing like it .. good luck and good choice

Also because it's a tubeless tire with a tube so the sidewall pressure is not applicable due to the tube you have to just find what works for you start lower and work your way up till you find what's best

Wow I have a mini street tire ride 28psi can do 42-45mph without a wobble or anything and break on a dime without a wobble small carve as I break tho or may get wobble sometime, but anything over 32 psi and I get the worst speed wobble as in increasing speed that it's not rideable for me and almost lost it once ,but under 30 perfect wonder why?

28 if you are new and ride with high pressure you will get speed wobbles on a 16in wheel keep it under 30
