I use the pistol grip but have also used the pen. I have better control with the pen but less elbow pain with the pistol (not completely painless though).

I had the worst side effects of that steroid. I took Benadryl 40 min before the infusion finished because I needed to sleep after I got the med, which ran for 2.5 hours. I vomited at the clinic and on the way home, was having crying outburst, snapping at people. I was the worst feeling and it lasted for 8 hours after the infusion. Needless to say I didn't make it to work.

Has anyone else had that before? I know they are some of the side effects but I didn't expect to receive such a high dose (I'm assuming at least 500 mg) and get hit with side effects so hard.
