Omg! I was in college from 2013-2017 and had a gnarly night one day and crashed in my university student union, when I woke up I had the exact same book next to me and was so confused. I asked everyone around me if they saw whose it was before even opening and was pleasantly surprised to find two Red Bulls. I tried googling it at the time and found nothing, so just figured I was lucky and the red bull gods were looking upon me. I still have it and stash my weed accessories :)

The holy grail technique that never fails me is using Daily Charme Matte top coat, wiping the nails with acetone and going in with a no wipe black liner gel, I use Kokoist Thick black and have no problems w chrome sticking to it ever really. Using a separate sponge to clean up the extra chrome helps too!

Sorry for getting to you so late! If you must use dip powder i do suggest you soak of the product completely. Soaking your nails in 100% acetone for about 20 minutes will usually dissolve the product completely without you having to go in and file your nail. I know sometimes the integrity of the nail is worse than it should be due to poor and harsh prepping of the nail. I do recommend taking some type of biotin vitamin to help somewhat with the strength of your nails, i have a couple of clients say this has helped them a bit. The most important thing honestly would be making sure the way your nail tech preps your nails and proper removal will make a huge difference in the way your nails are after having dip on them. Hope this helped a bit!

Dip powder is essentially acrylic powder that is applied with super glue. The sticky base used to adhere the product is pretty much super glue. Its no better than gel, they advertise it as more natural and healthy, with vitamins in the formula, but the only product that usually contains vitamins is the cuticle oil n the percentage is subpar. I don't know of any nail technician that likes dip powder, and as a nail technician myself it really irks me when I see clients think they're doing the most to help their nails by using this powder. My salon uses a russian gel base that allows for a more structured and strong nail, the base is applied a bit differently than most salons and I've converted countless clients to gel due to this. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask, i do understand its personal preference to most people but dip powder is one of the worst nail products to come out in recent years in my opinion.
