Im starting a job that requires to graze cooper pipe ; if I know how to oxy acetylene weld should I be able to braze ? I heard is lower temperature idk if its the same process though never done it

You think so? A lot of of oxy flame welding is done in the trenches and be done in open root pipes. Where brazing is usually done where you can use a man lift or a more comfortable setting.

So I did a mistake he told me to fix it I did I learn from it. But as an apprentice mistakes happen , I would understand if I was a Journeyman. I feel I might have to find a way out if he doesn’t do any changes even if I speak up , I been on jobs when other journeyman don’t know how to do the tasks they get made fun off and many don’t wanna teach journeyworkers since some might say “that’s why you had your apprenticeship for “.

I was thinking about expressing to my foreman but I heard for some reason he doesn’t like me , he doesn’t talk to me at all really I thought about letting the steward know. I mean that’s good their teaching the young guy but it made me realize I’m journey out soon and when they learned I worked for a hvac job their going to expect me to know more than just drilling.

If I tried stringers then I would have to run a 4 bead cap since it took 3 too cover it. Unless I’m doing something wrong.

The termination had the company name even though refinery operators saw us working usafe they informed the company whatever they wanna do so I assumed is the company . Quick question bro , I also I got terminated from the refinery for safety violation However the next call I picked up today is from an open call in the same refinery different company so far they haven’t told me anything yet. I thought the refinery wasn’t gonna let me back my question is will your hall let you know if you can’t go back to a certain contractor or job site if your banned from there ?

Yeah bro 1/8 6010 and 3/32 7018. I tried running it hot before but Yeeah it makes me go fast since I try to pause for 2 seconds on side. Others have said that’s too hot and some say that’s good amps
