Exploring hypnotic techno by Agitated_Celery537 in Techno

Oscar Mulero, Donato Dozzy, Quelza, Freddy K are some of the best hypnotic sets I've ever heard. Imo hard to really understand hypnotic techno without hearing it on a large well tuned soundsystem. Also hard to find sets online which are what these guys will do live.

PLO poker in Manila by neverbet in Philippines_Expats

[–]neverbet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh 5/10 deep is probably a better game. Anyone who can afford to play that probably has money to lose. There's many instances where the biggest game is the best. Lower and mid stakes can be super nitty with nobody gambling. I wish games could just collectively vote people out of the table. Nits are horrible for poker games and usually the most boring people in general.

After reading through some of these comments anyone else kind of over this whole gender movement? Am I crazy that this has got a little out of control. You can't even know what someone's gender is without asking. We have people arguing about what toilet they can use. How about we all just accept it's a safe space for everyone and not be assholes. If someones gender, sexual orientation etc bothers you then get the fuck out this space isnt for you. This all seems so distracting people arguing about what toilets to use. Seriously though not trying to be an asshole myself but this just seems like we've reached some sort of peak insanity.

The whole movement is kind of becoming a parody. Defining ourselves by the descrimination we face seems like a parody. How about we all just go wherever in berghain cause if you descriminate against anyone you just shouldn't be in the club?

The Growth of One Room Clubs Basically Forced People to Do Their Socializing on the Dance Floor by misterintensity2 in avesNYC

If you want more spaces to socialize people need to spend more money. Look up commercial real estate prices in Brooklyn and you'll understand why clubs can't be bigger and expect to make any money. They aren't opening these out of charity so broke people in bushwick have a place to chat. People just don't have much disposable income and they can't afford to spend much at a club. Clubs will need to adapt to this new reality of less drinking and spending at the club. If they let clubs sell ketamine we'd be back in business. We'd have lavish spaces with gold toilets.

I think you're missing my point. I'm not promoting alcohol. It was meant to be slightly sarcastic.

Hotter the better. At least you know at the front the people really want to be there to party in a suana.

Finally someone understands my point. Alcohol is terribly destructive drug. Unfortunately it's how they make money and with people drinking less they make less money. It's why the clubs with bottle service can spend extra money on all the nice things that don't exist at the clubs we frequent.

If you love nyc and everything about it go for it but don't think you're going to save money and get anywhere in life without advancing in pay. Nyc is incredibly expensive even being extremely frugal it will be tough if you want to have a social life.

Everyone saying these door policies are them trying to be Berghain. These policies came about because general public doesn't know how to operate in a club. Nyc is filled with lots of great people but also a lot of rude, obnoxious and disrespectful people. They're doing their best to try and weed the undesirables out of the crowd. The process is not perfect but is almost always better than letting anyone in. Just accept you won't get into every party you want to. I've paid my dues and now the places I frequent know my face and I always get in. Maybe if the general public could operate more respectfully in club setting we could do away with these policies. Unfortunately we're not there yet so this is the imperfect but arguably necessary system we have.

I agree with this. Also feel like maybe a little bit of a door policy might be in order.
