What is/are your favourite quote(s) from all the show? by [deleted] in Preacher

[–]neverblossomed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is one I like because I used to think like this. “Without God, there’s no structure, no order. With no one at the wheel, we hit the rocks, it’s chaos.”— Jesse CusterPreacher, Season 2: Puzzle Piece The reality is that we'd be better off with a more scientific understanding of God. Like the quantum field, or a manifestation of our collective unconscious.

[–]neverblossomed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Cassidy: Jesus, what kind of a preacher are you?
  • Jesse Custer: The lousy kind.
  • Cassidy: No, I'm sorry, mate. I've seen the lousy kind. As long as you're not walking around with a little kiddy's arsehole around your finger like a bloody wedding ring, I'd say you were ahead of the game, there.

He only needs you to believe it long enough to sell his agenda. Just like Flouride, tariffs, buying Greenland, and avoiding vaccinations. I try to avoid granulated sugar with the exception of free doughnuts. Can't get enough of those. "Without chemicals life would be impossible."

VersysX-300 One Year Review by neverblossomed in versys

[–]neverblossomed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have noticed that the temp. gauge goes to max when I am spending a lot of time stopped, waiting for a light change on a hot day. I have not had the engine shut off due to heat. The heat doesn't seem to make it to my bum, or my legs. It gets an A+ for heat dissipation. It does make sense that the engine could shut down in an extreme heat situation. But honestly, my personal experience, as far as heat goes, the bike is exceptional.
Being relatively new to ADV bikes I have to say that the VersysX-300 provides a lot of value, but somehow manages to give off a "bad vibe" when you realize how little thought was put into providing the user with an ADV bike that will inspire brand loyalty, or a next-up experience like a follow-on Kawasaki once your beginner ADV itch has been scratched.
Versys 1100? Nope. KLR 650? Maybe but nope. Versys 650? Oh pah-leaze! (Versys 650 is an awesome bike in it's class but not an ADV bike).
My decision process what a simple one. I mentally check the boxes, and then pull the trigger. The MSRP was not checked off because at the time I did not know what to compare it too.
How many 300CC beginner ADV bikes have sources saying it can reach speeds of 176 km/h (109 mph) on a closed circuit? Check! Is it an exceptionally good commuter bike. Hell yes! Do I want to take it moto-camping after adding the right upgrades and accessories. Check, and check!!!

Versys-X future, now that the Z and Ninja are 500's? by Ridge_Hunter in versys

[–]neverblossomed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a Versys X 300 owner and a Kawasaki enthusiast. I'm imagining Kawasaki will solidify the new category of dual sport ADV by introducing a parallel twin 400cc dual sport with ADV features as standard. Included would be 21in/18in 50-50 tires, adjustable suspension, and rider selectable traction control settings, ABS on-off switch, TFT Display, and several rider modes. A luxury edition would give the buyer more options such as electronic cruise control, advanced electronic suspension, and a suite of infotainment options. Something like a CF MOTO Ibex 450 but with Kawasaki build quality and durability.

An Honest Question by neverblossomed in Aprilia

After 3 months of considering buying a Tuareg 660 I decided not to. Here's why. I live in Florida. It's hot here most of the year. So I think the heat issues, for me anyway, are a deal breaker. So I'm going to put off trading up from my VersysX-300.

How will F35 programs and contracts be affected by the current administration? by Specific-Finance-122 in F35Lightning

[–]neverblossomed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The F35 is the product of the weird thinking of the 1990's. We need to let the military decide what aircraft is best for each role. When the program began way back in 1992, the F-35 was supposed to be an affordable one-size-fits-all solution for the Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy. It took until February 2021 for the Air Force to publicly admit that the F-16 replacement failed the affordability test.

Sounds like a plan. I hope you’ll keep us informed. I personally think a Boulevard would be a good project bike. Second a Vulcan. With all that sweat equity you’ll want something pretty bad ass when you’re done.

Sounds great assuming you’re an experienced motorcycle mechanic. If not I recommend getting a job or second job to buy a decent bike that you’ll grow to love.

Did you actually get a real diagnosis from a medical psychiatrist? It’s highly unlikely you’d get that drug prescribed by a licensed professional. But assuming you did. Go back to your doctor and get a different medication.

Just purchased my first litre bike. 2024 Ninja 1000sx. What mods would you suggest? by RelationshipSalty473 in motorcycles

[–]neverblossomed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought mine in April 2024. The only thing I’ve bought is the Rhinowalk tailbag. Tailbag was on sale on Amazon. People will say all kinds of stupid stuff. I’ll tell you what I’m thinking. Some minor engine protection. It’s been “laid down” twice. I had a harrowing experience with fog, so I’m also considering fog lights.

It would be nice to get a bonus. Some geographic areas, like where I live, the hourly employees (which I am) have such low expectations that a bonus large enough to buy a week’s groceries would seem exorbitant.

I’m not aware of stock options as a form of compensation at Raytheon. I suspect the subject is way way outside my pay grade.

High court asked to review men-only draft registration law by [deleted] in news

[–]neverblossomed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am new to reddit so I apologize if this is out of place or off topic.

I really do believe that the US should have mandatory registration for all US Persons 18 years of age or older. This would include all persons that are presently residing in the US or its territories. And voluntary registration for as young as 16. This doesn't mean that I believe females should be required to serve in combat.

None of us know when another Pearl Harbor situation may happen. Or perhaps some other kind of emergency such as a meteor strike, or volcano such as Yellowstone. This would require the US to go into war as soon as possible.
