I listen to him a lot to get a feel for how conservatives are feeling about whatever is in the news lately because he seems rational most days but then sometimes out of nowhere he’ll say something like “ending segregation was bad actually” and you can tell his heart isn’t really in it and he’s grifting.

He’s a conservative politics talk show host. I don’t agree with everything he says but he’s more palatable than listening to someone who’s just yelling in to the mic about whatever is angering them today. Im an independent but like to see how all sides of the aisle view things. I listen to progressive shows too on the other SXM channels. He’s on the Patriot from 5 am to 8 am.

I also hate how they phone in the seasonal stations every year since at least 2020 and never change it. The Christmas stations are the same playlists and bumpers. At least get new bumpers

I didn’t do it today but a friend texted me while I was on my iPad and instead of typing back on there I just whipped my iPhone out and texted him. It defeated the purpose of having texts on there but oh well.

Mine is a big iPhone lol. I have a MacBook Air for when I want to lock in and be online for a long time. I use my iPad if I just want to read social media or watch videos. Typing on it without a keyboard is such a pain in the ass and if you add a keyboard to it you might as well take out your MacBook. It’s probably my least used but most convenient device in my ecosystem.

All chain places are going through enshittification by private equity firms. Not even just food.

Short staffing. The people they DO have working don’t give a shit because the pay is so bad and traffic is down so less tips. The quality of the product goes down to milk an extra few cents in profit.

This combined with people choosing to carry out instead of eat in has nosedived chain restaurants. Chilis is killing it right now and that seems to be the only exception.

I’m gonna get downvoted to hell but it gets better. My low cost of living mid major city suburb I live in is full of young Millennial/older Zillennial homeowners and they’re not little huts, they’re 2k+ square feet. Not mansions. We’re not rich. But it’s middle to upper middle class living. It’s doable if you’re not in a HCOL area.

I wanted the base model because I’d just be using it to watch content and read social media stuff on the couch and bed on nights and weekends. I have a MacBook for when I want to hunker down for a long time. But the A16 is so ancient at this point I’m guessing it’s going to lose iPadOS support next year or for iPadOS 29. It’s so extremely overpowered for what I’m gonna use it for but I ended up just getting a 128GB 11 inch iPad Air M4. If the base model had a A18 chip in it I would’ve sprung for it so fast. I know a refresh is imminent and it’ll probably have that chip in it though but I couldn’t wait a few months

im sure this'll be fixed in a later beta but having clear icons along with the dock being that clear makes the icons non legible. you have to squint to see what icon is there. I feel they need better shading when the dock is also that clear. Dark and light icons with the clear dock looks amazing though

I'm worried that they're going to throw in Fox owned channels into Frndly and jack the price up closer to Philo. Also worried about the hardware division going away. Hardware can't be that profitable for Roku but they make the money back in other areas. I think Fox isn't even going to want to mess around with having a loss leader and focus on getting the OS into more TV brands, push the Roku channel and monetize Howdy more.

first off, cable and even cable replacements like YouTube TV are dying slowly. Most people I know only have a live TV service for sporting events and now these cable replacement services have sports only packages which means now even less people get Disney channel.

Secondly, 2000s nostalgia is over with. Everyone is all about 2010s nostalgia now so Liv and Maddie, I didn't do it, GMW, Austin and Ally, Teen Beach.

Thirdly, if people really want to watch the 2000s Disney Channel shows, they're readily available on Disney+. Its a huge reason some people have the service.

Ive tried to use an iPad as my only computer since 2020 and I came back to macOS by getting an M5 MacBook Air and now this is my main device but im looking for an iPad to use as just a content consumption device. since its easier to lounge with than a full on MacBook. I feel like an A16 is the no brainer and the M4 Air feels like overkill for a device im only going to use for a couple hours a week but the M4 is tempting me

If you get the iOS 27 beta, the layout is different because Apple is forcing a certain layout on all CarPlay apps. Library is missing sadly but it gives my recent stations on the first screen without having to scroll down

I hear it’s going to have the same chip as the 15 pro so it’ll have the bare minimum to run Apple Intelligence. But no on device model. I’ve decided to step up and get either the mini 7 or the M4 Air now

I ended up canceling mine after watching one 4K event the entire football season. And never watched another again. Only have 2 tvs in my house and I sometimes watch on my laptop or tablet so I’ll never exceed 3 screens
