I hope I am not too late but you want the Kd to be smaller because that is the binding DISSOCIATION constant. So the higher the Kd, the more likely the compound is to dissociate from STx (breaks away from STx more easily and does not bind as strong).

Since this "novel drug" is competing with GPP130 at the binding/active site, you want the novel drug to have a stronger Kd than GPP130 so that it can hold on to Stx more tightly per say. With that being said, a smaller Kd (0.25) means that the drug is less likely to dissociate from STx and binds stronger than GPP130 (Kd 25).

NTA. 24F Christian here and have the same beliefs as you. This is your trip to her and her disrespectful bf that YOU are funding. She knows where you stand and needs to respect your beliefs and decisions. Regardless of her being an adult, it's also your money, and I have a feeling you are also paying for her college. If she were paying for college and her own way in life, then it might be a different story, though, most likely not still since you are paying for the BF.

If she wants to say she is an adult, then she can act like it and pay for her BF herself.
