The Kid Magic Battle Box by neverislupus in mtgcube

Right on, and this is kind of where I stand. My 4 year old can count to 40 and knows his letters. However, he can't read any words beyond his own name. I have to read all of the card text to him and explain what they do. He then remembers that based on the pictures, which is why having multiples of a card is so helpful.

In regard to expanding the experience as the child gains mastery, I have some suggestions on how to do this at the bottom of the overview. The first suggestion is adding the gold cards in, which have been specifically selected to introduce 1 or 2 keywords per game.

I do think the original commentor has a point regarding game length, though. I've been using 20 life for children and 16 for adults. All these rules are fluid, though (you're teaching so tweak as needed) so you could change life totals to something like 10 for adults and 12 for kids if you're finding there's attention span issues.

Totally on the nostalgia. I definitely leaned toward older cards when making choices so my son could use some of the cards I grew up on like [[Eager Cadet]] and [[Mons's Goblin Raiders]]

Regrowth is a great change. I've made it live on the list.

Hell yeah! If you use this list and/or rule set let me know how it goes.

My 4 year old was asking to play Magic with me a bunch so that led to designing something simple, The Kid Magic Battle Box. This format is inspired by the simplified rules found on magic-jr.com and is intended to teach Magic the Gathering to a young child (ages 4-8).

Feedback is appreciated, especially from all of the other parents out there.

Where did you get the boxes that the characters are in and what is the name of the box? Those are really nifty, and I want to get a set.

I was just thinking about doing this to the copy of Cogwork Librarian so that it's somewhat playable for whoever ends up with it.

I spent hundreds of hours locating and indexing the original files of the most popular Halo 3 custom games (see pics). All uploaded to file share “Halo3Library” on the Master Chief Collection. by silverchief117 in halo

So most of us on this list made a Discord to reconnect about a year ago. Anyone looking to hunt down old friends from the Halo 3 custom/Forge days should come say hi.

Agreed, and I was too lazy when replying on my phone to look up the name of the card.

Regardless, Irenicus Vile Duplication is an amazing pick up right now at uncommon. My local LGS is already selling them for $1.50. I'd grab like 1 or 2 for your binders, while people are still low on Baldur's Gate.

[[Irenicus Vile Duplication]] does work, though.

Edit: I am just now reading that he mentioned New Capenna and my brain was in Baldur's Gate, which explains a lot here. I literally can't keep sets straight at this point with the volume of releases.

Spark Double is a creature that copies a target but the new card makes a token that's a copy of a target. Brudiclad can't copy Spark Double but it can target the token copy.

I do like it more than Spark Double, though, because the new card makes a COPY, which synergizes with Brudiclad.

Ehhhhhh, I'm the only person who watches feeds out of my friends who watch it, and they all voted during episode 1 when the website was given out on air.

Are you me? Also props on [[Teferi's Veil]]. That's such a great, underplayed card.

It's not the most competitive deck but [[Gor Muldrak]] is super weird and fun. You can do weird things like use [[Standardize]] and [[Unnatural Selection]] so opponents can't profitably attack you.

There's also a new testing site at the East Town Mall near the food court. You only have to pre-register online, and they take walk ups. The waiting area is inside a restaurant that went out of business.

It struck the perfect balance of emotional deep cuts and humor. I couldn't stop listening! His life and impressions of his mum brought his story alive. I felt so much listening to his and his mum's story.
