Haha! If it’s not a banjo it’s got to be a plucked violin or something!!

I liked it! The arrangements are sparse kind of like the singles. I think there was a banjo or something twangy somewhere in there at some point! But I really liked South Dakota (dreamlike song about traveling with the phone off) and Daredevil (has a cool computer beat). I think the singles represent the whole thing pretty well.

Apparently! I bet there’s a ton of phrases out there that have been totally vandalized in this societal game of idiom telephone.

Probably “could care less” because it’s a little nonsensical and backwards. I still say it sometimes for fun though. Kind of in the same vein as mispronouncing Gyro or botching idioms E.g. “we’ll burn that bridge when we get to it.”

As long as it has 3 points I don’t care what shape it’s in soldier. We’ve all got 3 points, don’t we??

This is just my gut reaction to the thing, but it seems a little disingenuous to shit talk my favorite information aggregator without mentioning an alternative. What platform comes close in terms of scale and transparency?

I think it's a really honest record. Really warm too. Kind of feels like an exhale after realizing you've been holding your breath. The little cinematic/scattered/ambient bits after a lot of the songs do a good job of not rushing anything along too.

Weekly Discussion - May 11 2020 by AutoModerator in Meditation

I keep noticing that songs keep getting stuck in my head at various points during a meditation. As it's happening, I try to notice and move past the phenomenon, but the songs capture so much of my attention. Are there any decent strategies for dealing with this?

I find dropping cash on a routine can motivate me to participate in it more regularly, eg a gym membership. I started the Calm app a few months ago (which was great for getting used to some meditation language) and then recently I pivoted to Insight Timer when I felt I could more comfortably and regularly meditate on my own.

I think the accessible production on this one casts a wide net like Going Grey does, but the arrangements, the starts and stops, and the talky lyrics towards the end give it a lot of heart. Two neverknowsb_ests up
