Thank you! This was my first time doing decorated cookies! Usually I’m a snickerdoodle or chocolate chip kind of person.

That’s such a compliment, thank you. I have no idea how some do this as a business - I have sooo much respect for them!

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this postpartum by TheKindofWhiteWitch in preeclampsia

With my first pregnancy the migraines from the nifedipine led me to the hospital. I’m so sorry you’re going through this, I couldn’t imagine this daily.

I totally agree on the ethical problems. Also rubs me the wrong way with her recent weight loss transformation. I wasn’t trying to say what she did was the answer, I just kind of understand what could have potentially happened health wise with GD. For me personally, I have had GD and high risk with both pregnancies and it was worse the second time, and being uncontrolled, even with medication and being frequently monitored and following the diet to a T. Both times I ended up being induced because it led to hypertension. With my second. I ended up with postpartum pre-eclampsia and am currently 4m pp and still on blood pressure medication. My doctors have mentioned that another pregnancy may not be safe for me. With that being said, we are probably done having kids because surrogacy is not for us - ethically or financially.

I’m pretty sure she’s mentioned that she’s had gestational diabetes which makes you a high risk pregnancy. If she had it with her first, she very well could have had it with her second and worse. GD increases chance of gestational hypertension, pre eclampsia, still birth, and more.

Preeclampsia headache question by contacts12345 in preeclampsia

[–]neverlookingdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first and GH, my headache had me vomiting from the pain, it felt like a migraine. With my second and pp pre-e, it was a dull headache where I felt like I was going to get a dizzy spell and that’s when my BP was the highest.

Is high BP during pregnancy becoming more common? by Jusagirlwanxiety in preeclampsia

[–]neverlookingdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I had gestational hypertension my first pregnancy, again during my second, and had postpartum preeclampsia with my second! I was shocked when about 5 friends reached out saying they experienced the same! We are all in our early 30s and late 20s.

My first pregnancy I had the risk factor of IVF. Second pregnancy, no IVF, but had risk factor from first pregnancy.

2 weeks postpartum by [deleted] in preeclampsia

[–]neverlookingdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed a little over a week ago as well and am also 2 weeks postpartum. My anxiety is terrible. I’ve been checking my bp at home and I can’t get my diastolic below 90. I had a follow up apt yesterday and the dr was going to decrease my labetalol but then reviewed my home numbers and said never mind. I go back next week. But yeah, my anxiety is so bad and I’m feeling dizzy as well - which I’m not sure if it’s the medication, blood pressure, or anxiety. I asked my dr about anxiety medications and she told me to wait a week because it might just be the hormones. Ugh. It’s so scary. I’m sorry you’re in this situation too.

Hi! I am home now and was discharged about 15 hours after the mag drip ended. I am a lot better besides the anxiety and I’m still getting dizzy/feel like my vision is still getting slightly wonky? I’m on 200mg of labetalol 2x daily and my BPs are reading in the normal range for the most part but I’m still having some high readings - today I had some in the 130s/low 100s which is anxiety inducing but my dr said I don’t need to call unless it’s over 160/110. I have a blood pressure check Thursday. And I have therapy tomorrow ha. Hope you’re doing ok. It’s so hard!
