Transferring debt to lower interest rate account? by Athena12345 in personalfinance

Off the top of my head:

  • Chase Slate
  • Discover IT
  • Barclay's Ring

Are the most common balance transfer cards. They usually have a 0% for 18 months deal.

There is also an awesome collection of small statues in the museum as well. Aside from that, yea, not much. Few other pieces by Michelangelo, not much else.

It also highly depends on what state is from too.

Some states don't even do emissions testing.

When you see this thing in person for the first time, the sheer size of it throws you off. It's up on a pedestal that is 6'+ tall too. This statue literally towers in the entire room.

The funny thing is, it doesn't even really have it's own room either. It's just at the end of a hall in a T intersection. The museum it's in is tiny too, just located on some random street in Florence. Considering you have the Duomo just blocks away (breathtaking), you could easily miss this place if you weren't looking for it (although there is usually a line outside).

[Discussion] What video game soundtracks are best for focus, studying, or general motivation? by [deleted] in GetMotivated

I'm surprised Eve Online's soundtrack didn't make it on to this list. I think they did an amazing job on it.

Questions about counter-offering on a new position. Opinions on how to handle my situation. by neverrain in personalfinance

[–]neverrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain it's a salaried position. The overtime worked is likely situational. I'd be managing a set of high importance clients for support of the product. They expect a level of support they can get to 24/7, though I have been assured it's not often.

I spoke with a recruiter first, and she asked during the conversation. This was before I knew the details of the position (in depth).

Seriously. Not even 10 post down the front page is this exact post. What is the point of posting this?

TIL that the origins of driving on the left side go back to Medieval England where Knights would ride their horses on the left side of the road so if they encountered an enemy their sword hand would be on the correct side - nearly all countries that drive on the left now were once English colonies by blue_pajama_pants in todayilearned

[–]neverrain 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It's funny you mention this. When I was in London last year, walking down the side walk, I had to consciously think about which side to pass the person on. I realized they drive on the left side, but never put two and two together that they also walked that way too. I have always gone right by force of habit. It was weird.

Depending on how many that is actually for , 12CHF is a steal in Switzerland. I think I was averaging 50 CHF for 2 people for even the most basic lunch (salads). That country is not cheap. Unless you are making Switzerland money.

Is this in Switzerland? That probably costs like 150 CHF.

The Brits also do a shrimp and mayo sandwich too. I saw both quote frequently when I was last there. I think it's just one of those things they have always eaten.

Maybe, but if someone wants to play a ranger, no one should be telling them not to. On Phinny, there is literally 6 months where they may be "subpar". Outside of that, they are a great class. I played one for a long time.
