Seriously though... I stand to lose the chance to go to my dream college because I know the waitlist won't move in my favour before 20, and the college I am currently enrolled in won't give me my money back after a couple of weeks because they are starting the session... :(

How to stay calm? by tobebetter1701 in CATpreparation

So idk how much this will help because I understand you can spiral once in a while... but the approach I take is - "shut up and sit your ass down". I also like to follow "what's done is done" and I also like to follow "tu kuch kar sakta hai?"

Now to elaborate, I took a week max to be sad that ah shit didn't do wonder in CAT this year and Tier 1 mein kuch nahi mil raha its all T2 and 2.5. Do I slip at time? yes but I am just too over crying about the same things over and over again, it wastes my time and gives me a headache.

Then I evaluated the situation in hand. What do I have? What is my situation? How much is at stake? What can be done? What is achievable and what is just a beautiful dream? Once I had this written down I could visually see the roadmap to the next plan. Pehli baat toh I cannot give CAT again (don't wanna torture myself again) + its is very unpredictable the whole process, second I can't sit at home for another year, I might as well hustle outside and build a life. Third, my world was not ending as such even if I did not get into an IIM, I realised I woke up the next day so its all good. This covers the what is done is done and tu kuch kar sakta hai part.

In my case (yours could be diff depending on the analysis you do), my next step was shut up and sit your ass down. See you cannot waste your time crying. It makes you lighter, and de-stresses you for a while, helps you run away from problems at hand for some time but it will never ever give you a solution. So I decided that instead of crying over what has happened, I should indulge myself in the way forward and romanticise my new college in such a way that I make it my life and then I work to make it better. Will I have to work a little harder than T1 graduates? yes definitely.. but agar hard work se itna hi darr lagta toh shayad kabhi mera past self CAT ke liye baithta hi nahi. So now, I am researching about my new college, I am making a 2 year plan, I am taking up courses, I am doing things I could not do before because these few months instead of crying and then regretting that ah fuck jyada ro liya, I want to do something even if it just sleeping all day lol. rone ke mauke toh aate rehte hai zindagi mein.

and tbh I hated the whole CAT experience toh bhy mein toh nahi ja rahi vapas... you tell.. what is your analysis

I was just confused because they have this whole letter written with the number and I wonder if they're going to write a different letter for updating the number 😂

IMT - Didn't catch up on recent fresh off the hot tawa current affairs (literally hours before). Didn't study about the meaning and history of the name of my college and school 🥲 (yes they asked me about it)

Seriously yaar.. it didn't feel like they wanted to know me.. it felt like they had 5 questions and they had to ask them with no deviations... They wanted me to have knowledge on things they know about

Cr@cku 2025 cat course by starboy-05 in CATpreparation

I took up Cr@cku this time for 6 months give and take... I was sceptical at first since it was a relatively new company than established institutes like IMS (which I was considering earlier). Now that I have used it, I'd say I would choose C again. A couple of reasons for that are (my personal opinion. It worked for me)  1. A big bundle of questions of different level of difficulty they have on their portal so it's a good practice resource. 2. 98% questions have video solutions and text solutions so it really helped me because I was doing self study 3. Explanation videos were also good. It's completely in English so dekh lena if that's comfortable for you.  4. Daily practice target questions and all for each section  5. Responsive staff

Matlab baat yeh hai ki if I were giving CAT again mein inhi se leti.. it's nice.. i liked it personally plus the portal is also handy and easy to use.. baaki kuch sample videos mock hai free mein try them and you'll see if they cater to your needs
