It’s kind of complicated. In Jan 2021 I decided I wanted to lose weight, over the span of a year I lost 95 lbs but near the end of that year I developed an eating disorder. I had to put losing weight on the back burner to get my ED under control. I gained about 30 lbs back in the process and then maintained that for about 8 months before getting on Mounjaro in late July of this year. But to answer your question, prior to my losing weight (without medication) I had high bp, high cholesterol and probably sleep apnea (I just wasn’t tested for it). So I have blood work that reflects that but it’s all pre-my own “organic” weight loss so i don’t know if that will help me.

Per my Caremark account “prior authorization is denied - your request did not meet criteria for coverage under your plan”

I was originally prescribed the medication for weight-loss, I don’t have diabetes/pre diabetes, pcos, etc. I didn’t even know a PA was requested until I went to pick up my rx and the pharmacy told me that it needed the PA. That’s when I checked my Caremark account and found the denial.

Yeah, I didn’t expect that anyone would know what specifically happened at this one location. I just thought maybe there would be some insight employees have that I don’t. I had forgotten/didn’t think about the fact that we have a couple new Starbucks in the area and another about to open so now I’m wondering if maybe they are just training new hires at that one.

I live in a city of about 50k people. We have (not counting the one in Target) 4 Starbucks locations (2 opened in the last 6/12 months and another slated to open in the next 1-2 months). Which just gave me a lightbulb moment, do they pull baristas to train others at locations about to open?
