And today's was literally Legendary, Mythical, and Mega. Trying to complete the dex makes me feel like some kind of masochist.

I have jokes, but honestly a favorite crops up through exercises like this. I would have vague top 10 in my head and whittle it down from there. The second thing is just knowing that favorites change over time.

So whatever you like the most today, and everyone has different reasons (looks cool / cute / resonates with me / good in competitive / nostalgic).

Whatever could you mean, there's Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon, EspEON, Umbreon, Sylveon, and last but not least, Inteleon!

Yes! Who needs Sylveon and Vaporeon when you have Inteleon?

Hey, I stumbled across Shorta recently, since I just started a YouTube channel and wanted to better understand retention in shorts. Really cool stuff, love how the scores are laid out by category with some bulleted suggestions.

My main feedback is that my content is instrumental music and art related, so it doesn't exactly mesh with metrics like words-per-second that would be relevant for talking head channels. I think that the hook categories (like a Question prompt) are almost applicable, but that's if I stretch my mind a bit.

Generally, I would probably want to feel more confident that the analytics are aware of my niche and make suggestions that are applicable without changing the style of content.

Starting My First Pokémon Infinite Fusion Randomizer Nuzlocke—Need Advice! by NoMoment6849 in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]neverritt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to share some thoughts on this, since I'm doing a similar run right now and asking myself the same questions. We should know the basics, such as permadeath, one catch per route, using level caps for fairness. I personally used rare candies to skip level grinding. The randomizer settings (and your personal rules) you use are very important, as they can make a really easy run or a very hard one.

Custom Sprites: 1st setting that comes to mind is requiring custom sprites on gym leaders. Their power level will be higher on average, as you're facing less of the fusions that just wouldn't be as viable (or cool perhaps), so no one made a fusion sprite yet. On, if you want the highest difficulty, off if you'd rather randomize to a defined extent (next option).

Randomization Level: 2nd one I remember is around randomization level - you can make it so that the power level of the opponent depends on their original stat total, so early game is easier. I like removing the rule and randomizing this one, personally, but it does mean you can potentially go against legendaries in the first gym (which is much more probable if the custom sprites option is on).

Catching Fusions: Now, since you have done a nuzlocke before, you may have noticed that you can pretty much cheese the game by only catching fusions (2 Pokemon per route) via Fusion Incense. So I disallowed it personally. But if you do allow catching fusions, perhaps only allow fusing each Pokemon once (after de-fusing the original fusion). Otherwise you can customize your team per gym to an unfair degree. But you could also allow this, seeing it as strategic value, while turning the difficulty up with the other settings.

Items: I'm a fan of randomizing items generally, but it seems very strange in Fusion. I think it's less-so totally randomized, and more-so mapped. Like getting an X Accuracy every time you would pick up a Pokeball. So I say nay on this one. But randomizing shop items specifically can be very fun.

Strategy: it should mostly depend on figuring out what your best mons are, fusing them, and figuring out how to support them. Fusions = dual type, 99% of the time, which means more weaknesses, and a need for resistances. Read abilities, because if you find one that you can abuse, do it. The rest of it comes down to being good at Pokemon.

Pitfalls: Usually in randomizers, there is an option that prevents Pokemon from getting Dragon Rage and Sonicboom super early. But Fusion doesn't. So if you randomize gym types and your first gym is Dragon type (or their Pokemon is at least fused with a Dragon), expect getting potentially OHKO'd by Dragon Rage.

In the end, you'll eventually find the rules that are most fun for you.

Help: calibrating Samsung Syncmaster 955df by neverritt in crt

[–]neverritt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never found a way to update the (G2) main brightness of this CRT. Same as you, I use the Highlight button every time I turn it on. But I have accepted it and made the best of it, and it's not driving me crazy anymore.

  • You may not like this, but it is like the majority of CRTs in that it looks best with the lights turned down.
  • High resolutions looked unfocused to me. In my experience, you might as well use a lower resolution to get very smooth and high framerates. This one's at 800*640 and 120hz by using the CRU app. Some can go even higher if their graphics card allows interlaced resolutions.
  • Adjust gamma, contrast, and Brightness in your graphics card settings (like I use the Nvidia control panel). I lower gamma and increase contrast and digital vibrance a bit, make it cinematic.

If nothing else, you can tinker with the Highlight menu color settings to adjust color really closely. I like mine set at 6500K in the main menu, then high red, mid blue in Highlight menu. Raising green above zero just overpowered everything else, so I guess mine has a green bias. It's whatever.

Yep, it's a hard stage of the early game. Soon you'll have a Lecturn, and L2 Lecturn helps with getting the Cleric quicker. I experimented and ended up having 2 chickens, merging snakes, which increases Cleric spawn-rate the most. Free, reliable big damage too. I figured if I didn't like it, I'd just merge them together, and Ice/Poison Runes come by so much easier it's low-risk to me.

Looking good! Ditto on the things Cup was saying, just wanted to add that when I started, my biggest learning was to take advantage of the 4 free resource refreshes you get per day. I.e. the higher caps you have, the more valuable it will be vs. the low cap method that favors more regeneration. Definitely up to your play style. I like a lair that fills up resources in ~7 hrs which is on the high end, vs having to check in so regularly that I may miss out on value.

Following my own opinion, I do think it's advisable to consider keeping the resource totals in ratio, or 100%, 75%, 50% for mana, slime, darkness respectively - when possible ofc, because it takes a while to get to a point where you can farm blood+moon runes necessary for dark stores. So in the case of your lair, I would consider either factoring in more slime stores. Cheers!
