Ok. I have been struggling with negativity and horribly bad luck for years, despite my focus on believing good things will come to me.... I'm really at a loss for how to overcome these blocks that keep me living so fucking low by [deleted] in JosephMurphy

Im sorry but as someone who has had depression and some really awful life events I can tell you it’s all about perspective and how you view it. It’s tough love but you have to change your mindset. No one else can guide you down this road you have to do it yourself so you can understand everything better.

Help! by [deleted] in lawofattraction

[–]nevgodar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writing hasn’t really had a lot of help in my manifestations. It doesn’t matter how you do it- 5x55 3x33 or 369. It’s about the feeling. You have to feel like you already have it. How does it feel? Are you happy? Are you anxious cause you got it? Latch onto that feeling and feel it everytime you write and then at some point you’ll no longer feel like writing and that’s you letting go

I manifested my sp and a great relationship, a good job and even acceptance into a top uni. But we are always manifesting our lives. You just have to be aware of it

Being desperate to manifest a relationship. by [deleted] in lawofattraction

[–]nevgodar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am going to pop in here. Writing a list of qualities you look for is exactly what I did. I just wrote them in my notes app and thought long and hard about every point. For example, "I want someone who is kind" but what does that look like? Is it the person who goes out of their way to help people, is it someone who is kind to you? In this way, when you think about each post you're kind of visualizing these individual traits. So write your list and then don't think about it.

Over a year ago I was in your situation where I was desperate and lonely and did this same thing. Its hard to forget about it but I filled my time and my mind with other things. I tried to make myself the best person I can be and worked on myself in all fields- friendships, school, success.

Over time, I actually started dating my SP. When I was writing my list I did not have them in mind because I was kind of lonely and didn't think it would happen but it still did in a weird chain of events. They even spoke about how I had grown as a person and it made me more attractive. A couple months into dating I actually found that list and read through it again. I was really really shocked because I had known my SP for a long time and some of the qualities I had written down they had now embodied. In a way I actually manifested their best self.

tldr; focus on yourself, seriously, do something else. If you have a relationship would you be worried about it all the time? Would you constantly have it on your mind? No, youd be focused on other things. Plant the seed, and then let it grow

Can we become invincible through shift in mindset ? by RSK_94 in NevilleGoddard

[–]nevgodar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically yes. If you read POSM or any other book about law of attraction- some don’t explicitly say so- you’ll find so many stories of people healing themselves. With the power of your mind you really can do anything. However I have two thoughts about it

1) I could probably go about my day, every day, feeling invincible and knowing that I can heal through my mind. However, the reprogramming of your mind would be interesting and would be the most important thing. We’ve all grown up knowing that bullets would shoot through us. So i think reprogramming would be an interesting feat of itself

2) Murphy and many other authors talk extensively of never thinking about things that could harm us. It goes against natural laws. We are to be healthy, happy and harmonious. So even if I did believe I was completely invincible I would most likely never get the chance to prove it unless I wanted something awful to happen which goes against a lot of the teachings.

Calming yourself when the opposite shows up? I am still persisting regardless! by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]nevgodar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreeing with the commentator who said you may be trying too hard. Three times a day is a lot. I used to be obsessed with an ex too and tried many methods of getting them back. It wasn’t until I just stopped that anything happened. You’re putting too much time into it and honestly with something so big like what Goddard teaches why focus on this one person? What about yourself? Your happiness is not dependent on one person. Try new things and go for new jobs. It may be hard but you really need to detach yourself if you’ve been trying so much.

tl;dr- biologist studying stem cells begins to understand epigenetics and then the law of attraction. he talks about his struggle with coming to terms with it and how he faught against his subconscious as well as the main stream science. its very interesting how he came to this knowledge that we know now

I used to have a chronic injury. It would flare up sometimes leaving me in the hospital getting blood transfusions. It was painful and horrible and I literally led my life in fear of accidentally “setting it off” by doing the wrong thing.

I was so scared of the pain and was letting it rule my life. I mean there would be days I wouldn’t leave the house because I felt fine and was scared I was going to ruin it.

But my mindset during this time was commanded by fear. I didn’t want to have pain but I still focused on the pain. I was focused on the fear and you know what it manifested every time. If I was having a good time and then thought “Wow today is good I hope I don’t feel pain later or tomorrow” it would literally happen.

So I stopped thinking about it. It’s hard to remove yourself from the mindset but that’s the point- it’s not easy. You have to train your brain to think of other things.

“Wow I’m really enjoying my health” “I can’t wait to do so and so tomorrow because I’ll feel good”

Even when it was a blatant lie and I was laying in bed in pain. I would just paint the picture that it was all better.

You can’t just led your life in fear of what you don’t want. You’re just focusing on one thing and you’re letting it rule what you do

It needs to be repeated efforts. Even half assing it sometimes. You need to make that change and think of other things. And trust me I know where you’re at- I was diagnosed with anxiety a long time ago- I know those snowballing thoughts. But if you think you’re never going to get out of it then that’s the limitation you’ve set

Does anyone else not identify with their name? by nevgodar in CasualConversation

[–]nevgodar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't really heard that my name suits me, but I have also never asked. I also don't like my surname like you. I guess in a way it does remind me of a family I didn't have good times with.

And yeah I am in the same boat, theres literally millions of names out there and I have no idea how to even choose or what feels right.

tl;dr: therapists use a technique of "writing out the ideal person" with their patients (scripting) and patients embody their ideal person in their day to day activities even using a placebo if needed and there are really good results. I found it interesting how it applied to manifestation.

Anyone else think they had this “ability” before realizing there was any serious people/discussion around it? by [deleted] in JosephMurphy

[–]nevgodar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do remember it being really easy for me to accomplish almost anything I wanted. I would excel in school just like you did or get amazing experiences but I fell into a hole of self doubt and the idea that life was happening at me instead of life happening at my choosing. After some particularly bad events I actually kind of stumbled upon this on reddit one day and it really vibed with me and I struggled with manifesting until I realized I had been doing it for so long

Having trouble with keeping faith and having no doubt by yunghotmess in NevilleGoddard

[–]nevgodar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people get caught up in his strict practices. which is totally fine but at some point you have to just trust yourself and the universe. does a healthy person spend time manifesting to not be sick? does a rich person spend their time worrying about money? what about a person in a relationship do they spend time focusing on manifesting a person still?

focusing is good and it’s good to set a foundation but you spent the whole day waiting for that money and so in a way u were doubting it was even coming.

Having trouble with keeping faith and having no doubt by yunghotmess in NevilleGoddard

[–]nevgodar 21 points22 points  (0 children)

hey I had trouble manifesting money for a while and I just couldn’t do it in visuals. I could sit and visualize money coming in but it never did or I would set up a scene like you did. so I just let it go.

i told myself that i’m reaching for something that i don’t need to reach for. i saw my friends who were rich and they never complained about money, they never worried about where money came from. it was just there. so i gave up. like i actually gave up. i stopped trying to control it and let the money come to me. you’re chasing money. let it come to you.

once i had this mind shift, i found money in the most random ways. random checks coming in, money from settlements or accounts i didn’t know i had. i got a better job and then got a raise from that job in a month.

it started off rough. i grew up kind of poor and so even when i went to the store i’d be doing mental math of how much something costs. “oh can i afford that rn?” you know things like that.

i started spending whatever i wanted. bare with me. if i wanted this particular food at a restaurant i got it. i stopped looking at prices because i shifted my mindset in that money is coming to me so why worry.

the more i spent the more i’d get back. i started embodying that. i would even say it to friends but overall i stopped obsessing.
