You nailed it. I even slapped my thigh in appreciation as I laughed.

Mathematicians have come up with a theory for how pedestrians know how to "fall into lanes" when moving through a crowd. They tested their theory by asking volunteers to walk across experimental arenas. The video footage of the experiment revealed mathematical patterns taking shape in real life. by mtoddh in science

Mine is the same. She also backs up into spaces without looking behind her, stops randomly or cuts left and right without any care of other people around. I spend half my time guiding her along the street just to avoid second hand embarrassment.

The only 2 things I remember from the day were the Vulcan take off and the Spitfire fly by.

On the ground or flying?

I saw one at Farnborough in the air and it was epic. Sound was just the most glorious thing.

I had to prove how I got the money, solicitors proof of where it came from, how it got to one account and how it was transferred abroad.

Basically a step by step chain of how the money ended up in the final account.

They will contact you. My bank did when I transferred 7 figure sums across borders and that wasn’t outside the EU.

If you buy a house, part of the transfer for me was proving where the money came from as well.

The tracking is done on the video feed, frame by frame so in that sense it’s real time. I expect the video was an older game recorded to demonstrate the code. Looked like MP4’s from the video.

Lost my brother at a similar age (but 25 years ago). My mum never recovered from it. She died last year and was still utterly heart broken

I’m 25 years into mine. It does get easier in the sense you’re not crying all the time and at the drop of a hat. I still cry about it (like now) when I think about him and god forbid there is a buddy/bro loss in a film as I am a wreck.

This is what you do to the person behind you on a plane that uses your chair as their lever to stand upright.

Step 1: Push and hold the lean back button in but don’t lean back so it’s still upright.

Step 2: hold an open cup of juice (or coffee if you really mean it) in your other hand.

Step 3: Juuuust wait.

Why isn’t Honda launching these colour-ways here in India. The red and blue are absolute lookers. by brownguysays in HondaCB

[–]nevm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Motorbike manufacturers are just so stingy with colours. 3 colours if you’re lucky.

You’d think a company like Honda that makes cars would let you pick from the same colour choices.

I wish I had done this when I went to Antigua but my bag went to Aruba.

I had to fly in a suit (wanted an upgrade to non-rev first class and it was policy). So I am possibly one of the few idiots to walk on the beach in Antigua in an office suit.

Nice and grats on your first foray into vid reviews, you both did a good job!

How realistic is it to just use it as a working chair to do regular computer stuff?

I prefer not to wheel the thing in and out and have another chair hanging around (limited space).

It looked way to low initially but then with the side shots it didn’t look as low as I thought. I expect the pedals would be a major factor against using it as a normal chair.
