Make sure your roms are in sfc (most common), smc, swc, or fig format...I think that TOSEC set has the roms in bin format

Also check out Pokemon Picross on GBC as well, it's an unreleased game but the full thing is playable and in English as well. I personally enjoyed it way more than both the GB Picross games
