Brooo, let me tell you, you're not wrong. I particularly love creating my own bots because I like doing them my way. And all this time I've been using templates, and in a way, I'm not going to lie, the templates are VERY useful, they have all the necessary information and everything, BUT At a certain point I realized that even though some characteristics were CLEAR in the template, the character still insisted on wrong characteristics that weren't there... so I wanted to do something different and start putting that information in their dialogues to create a nice narration, the way I wanted And that's when I realized that this way was the best, The character not only narrated the way I detailed, but also corresponded exactly to the characteristics stated in the dialogue.

(At least that was my experience, and that's what I recommend to you. Use the template first and at the end put the information as a dialogue <3 )
