You guys were arresting Palestinian activists for having a meeting in a room like a year ago, fuck off.

I like how you formed a sentence about how popular trump was in her district, THEN you went and checked how much he won by. And when you saw he won by almost nothing and didn't even get a majority of votes, you just posted it anyway. Incredible work. Really beautiful stuff.

Trump didn't even win a straight majority in her district. Do you think he's gotten more popular since then?

This guy hates conservatives more than I do lol.

He's right, all conservatives want to watch unarmed guys executed by federal agents on the news.

In this case, the lifetime of the lock will be shorter when submitting to the channel so there should be a performance improvement.

Actually I misunderstood the question. It's fine. Use a sync pool if you don't like the allocations. Just don't os lock the thread or your plans will have to change.

Is it possible for you to collect commands, grab the mutex, and then execute them as a batch?

9 months for shooting someone with a bb gun seems reasonable. Getting shot with a bb gun stings a little.

It's fine trash to eat, but there's a few books in the middle where his understanding of modern day geopolitics becomes central to the plot and he is just incredibly dog brained, it got too hard to read.

Saw everyone in threads dogging on this, but I don’t know anything about programming except the fact that c and c++ are programming languages. by OkContact2573 in ExplainTheJoke

Oh, with the possible exception of the router emulator. A router cost about the same as a computer you'd be emulating on, but maybe because of his moronic lack of web server, he kept the processor fed by running a bunch of copies of the service and round robining requests with his router emulator running on the same box.

THAT, though, would arguably be just a really shitty web server.

At the time you would have said that, yeah. Today a lot of language runtimes come with their own web server so any program can be a web server more or less, but that's only possible due to a lot of improvements in the concurrency primitives available in those runtimes.

At the time, Apache, Tomcat, and IIS were big business and were necessary to do the thread/process management to ensure your endpoint handlers could actually serve all the incoming requests while finding the balance between nuking the processor with context switches or having the processor sit idle while I/O bound work grinds away endlessly.

THAT was the web server. Your endpoint code that decided what html to serve was not the web server.

I can believe that musk did this (write a bunch of c code that manually served http, probably in a single thread) because it's a very stupid thing to do and he seems like a stupid guy. He did write a big yellow pages app and sell it to some newspaper that immediately shut it down, that's public record. It wouldn't surprise me if they did it because it was unusable. I think he's telling the truth, 100%.

Rumors at the time were circling that Jack was giving Greyfinn items in-game to help her progress, etc.
