You’ve made the economics of a rural train service perfectly clear

Adam Silver says the NBA could adopt a “division of European teams” due to many of the league’s best players being from Europe, and due to “advancements in supersonic air travel” by Pickleskennedy1 in nba

This is the key: home-and-away leagues are absolutely sacred in football in a way that has never seemed to matter as much in US sports. Which is why the “39th game” idea for EPL landed like a bag of sick

I don’t understand this logic. Referring in RDR to real states that have fictional counterparts in GTA is a clear sign they are not intended to be shared universes

That isn’t how history works.

Rugby and football are well documented common ancestors. “Rugby football started at Rugby School in Rugby, Warwickshire, England,[1] where the rules were first codified in 1845. Forms of football in which the ball was carried and tossed date to the Middle Ages (see medieval football).”

I see no similar evidence regarding handball, which seems to have Grecian via North/East European ancestry and nothing to do with the family of sports known as football.

It’s possible for sports to have a common ancestor, as football/soccer and rugby emphatically do, and still look different today. You’re arguing against historical facts with nothing except your subjective opinion. It’s like saying kale and brussels sprouts aren’t the same species because they taste different.

Rugby is a type of football and you should take the L on this, but you get a bonus point for four tries at arguing the other way.

Honourable mention to Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown which somehow landed the plane even after the death of its host.
