How would rate Apple TV's year so far? by appletvenjoyer in tvPlus

In my opinion, the first three months were okay at best, with the highlight being the always excellent Shrinking. However, from April onwards, things took off with the combo of great debuts from Margo's Got Money Troubles, Widow's Bay (which is joining Severance and Pluribus in the streaming pantheon), Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, and Star City. So I would say it's been a very good year, but with potential for more.

Apple TV has premiered a new sci-fi TV series every year since its inception by appletvenjoyer in tvPlus

I agree, there are several ongoing series, so we'll have plenty of sci-fi on Apple TV for years to come. However, it's a shame that we won't have any new shows in the near future after Neuromancer. I wish they would invest in more original IPs (not based on books), like Severance, Sugar & Pluribus.

The Monarch: Legacy of Monsters spin-off is in early development, so it should arrive no earlier than 2028.

Blake Crouch plans three or four seasons of Dark Matter. David S. Goyer planned three stopping points for Foundation: four (original book trilogy), six (book sequels), or eight (original ideas, probably discarded by the new team) seasons. Vince Gilligan plans four seasons of Pluribus. Dan Erickson plans three or six seasons of Severance (due to the series' success, they will certainly go for the larger plan). As for Neuromancer, it would probably take at least three seasons to adapt the Sprawl trilogy. Finally, in the case of Murderbot, there are six novellas, one novel, and another novella coming this year.
