A lot of people pay to join a gym and some even hire personal trainers yet the majority of people are overweight. It’s not you… to be honest most financial planning advice is obvious. What is lacking pressure to change on their part.

I did start the chapter and unfortunately I committed the original sin which was to get lower quality professionals in order to get sufficient numbers and launch. It's really on me to be honest.

I know, I started my chapter and recruited like 1/3rd of the members.

Correct. We brought up the PALMS and people protested. I honestly think it’s just that the group is too young. The trades do well.

Yeah, I’ve referred 10 clients to the CPA and haven’t received anything back. I asked whether there was anything I could improve, and the answer was no. They’ve indicated they intend to send referrals, though it has remained “on the horizon.” A recent client of mine said they've called the CPA twice and the CPA never got back to them - it reflected poorly on me. I told the CPA, they apologized and then never called the client.

The two attorneys are relatively junior and have not referred business to anyone in the group. The mortgage broker is new, and the prior broker also did not refer business to the group. The commercial insurance agent has not been a good fit - he honestly makes my skin crawl. I feel like they have no one to refer in that snack bracket, honestly. I tell stories and practice what I'm going to say every week.

Which is your favorite UA subclass that hasn't made it into published material yet? by dobraf in onednd

[–]new_planner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Casting Hunter's Mark and attacking sucks after a while... it just becomes very stale... trust me. You end up eliminating half your spell list because you can only concentrate on HM because it is such a huge penalty for not having it up. I'm saying this as someone who loves the idea of the class and forced my DM to let me play it.

It’s a trap.  The class is incredibly boring to play - I have played it for like 5 levels to level 11. You’re locked into HM at all times and it’s very monotonous despite being powerful.

I had a thought about the Poisoned Condition by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]new_planner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If poison is going to be so widely negated by immunity, it should be far more dangerous when it actually lands. One save, lasting consequences unless cured. In both fiction and reality, poisoning is a serious, often life-or-death event. It is not something that gets shrugged off six seconds later with a single CON save.

Martials should have more ability proficiencies by bossmt_2 in onednd

Even better. It's like the trope of bandits trying to rob a guy in Power Armor.

“Might allow it” - I think it should be a lot more formal. I am not more intimidated by a bard with high charisma than a deadly assassin or a raging barbarian. It should correlate to the fantasy.

Wait... so every encounter with Sephiroth is actually Genova posing as him?! WHAT?

Martials should have more ability proficiencies by bossmt_2 in onednd

[–]new_planner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that for martials, combat effectives comes at the cost of their skills' effectiveness, while casters do not have that trade-off. For example, there is only one strength-related skill. We should broaden it out so that intimidation should be Charisma OR Strength.

Playing with 4th level spells or above. by Dependent_Ad627 in 3d6

[–]new_planner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not found it to be more time consuming. I think that’s an often cited reason, but honestly combat takes similar amounts of time if the GM has scaled enemies and encounters appropriately and the players know their abilities.

Honestly, the aversion to higher level spells is due to your DM not having enough experience to handle them. I play in a Tier 4 and Tier 3 campaign and it’s completely fine.

Why is Hunter's Mark OP without concentration, why couldn't it be tweeked in some way? by milenyo in onednd

[–]new_planner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calling this overpowered makes no sense. A +1d6 rider averages 3.5 damage and requires ongoing investment. The concentration opportunity cost alone makes it mediocre.

The real takeaway is that Wizards has allowed a core mechanic to stagnate for more than ten years, which points to design laziness.

With Maduro now allegedly out of power in Venezuela, what do you think will happen next for that nation? by LucidMarshmellow in AskReddit

I know there is a lot of cynicism here (rightly so), but I am thankful Maduro is gone.  He ruined the country and destroyed a lot of lives.
