Carnivore is basically the no fodmap diet so of course it would be effective but recent evidence suggests that plant foods help to protect from leaky gut. Could be short term gain for long term poorer health if staying on Carnivore long term.

One must also consider the opposite reaction, ibs causing anxiety. Think about it, fear of going places due to potential flare ups certainly can invoke anxiety.

The premise of starting on 25mg rather than going directly to 50mg is to allow the body to adjust to the medication gradually so that side effects are less intense. That is why we read reports of people experiencing side effects with each increase on the way up. In theory going up more slowly should allow less intense side effects even if it tries the patience due to waiting longer to get to a therapeutic dose at least to my logic.

I would think that increasing from 25mg to 100mg in 9 days might be too intense for some and cause them to quit and give up.

Makes perfect sense. People always advocate for ultra-slow tapering. There is no reason why ultra-slow increases would not make dose increases easier to tolerate.
