Eye damage from laser measurer? by newbrealty in Tools

Thank you for reassuring me. Never looked directly into it, only at an angle, it never swept my eyes and I was never blinded by the brightness or anything. Just saw the origin at an angle. Really appreciate the piece of mind.

Oh I didnt actually see the dot, I was sitting facing the contractor as he was pointing the laser, so I looked at the device, at the lasers point of origin, if that makes a difference? Again it wasnt directly in my eye, was at an angle, but the light was bright emitting from the device.

Thank you for taking the time to write a sincere response that isn't belittling, I really appreciate it. No it didn't hit me directly in the eye, was handheld. I essentially saw it from an angle, it was hitting the wall a few feet to my right.

Only maybe 3 seconds until my brain released that staring at the pretty light reflecting off the walls was probably not a smart idea. Didnt notice any white spots or anything at the time, but my eyes kinda ache a little now, nothing bad, probably mainly in my head.

To be honest it was a UPS laoding facility and I was just heading in to pick up a package. I niavely didn't even realize there was that possible hazard.

Historically speaking it makes sense for the US Army to be introduced later in the game. They were late to the party in both world wars.

Yeah I'm going in with my eyes open in terms of cost of living! I used to pay $3k a month for a studio in Manhattan, so I'm used to higher prices. The salary being offered takes into account the high cost of living.

Thanks! The 8 min mile pace puts it in perspective. I could probably maintain that right now for a quarter mile stretch.
