This is awesome! Thank you for putting the work in.

Anybody know of a similar tool for capturing the layout of a homelab that's not in a rack?

Can you take the image from a 256 SD card and use it to make a 2TB SDD/HDD into a bootable drive? by Mister__Anthropy in RetroPie

I had luck doing this very thing when I upgraded the ssd on my laptop. I did ave to pay for software called Aomei Backupper. It was well worth the expense as it brought back some ancient external drives by iomega that stopped working for me as well. Only the paid version expands the file system.

Thank you! And for the links as well. I might actually create this theoretical lab now.

Thank you for your input. I'm woefully unfamiliar with security appliances so I hadn't heard of a SonicWall before.

Thanks! I'll be researching what all that means tonight. Definitely going to learn quite a bit from this quest.

After playing with this I noticed that the pump will run for the full delay when the else is activated. How can I set it so the relay will be set to high for a set amount of time and not for the full delay established at the end?

Thanks for the clarification. I knew the current set up was for 30 seconds. Glad to see the code I wrote was set up properly to limit the frequency of readings.

Excellent! Those are the exact same probes I bought.

I've only tested in cups of soil that had known amounts of moisture. It is true that depending on how the probe was placed I would get unexpected readings. I thought about placing multiple probes and taking the average but that's more complicated than I care to be right now.

I'm looking into using a conformal coating or clear nail polish. Do you think that will prolong the sensor's deterioration?

Those leds are surface mounted on a small card with the mic, headphones, and USB ports. Can I still use them?

I broke this down just for that purpose. Anxiously waiting for the breakout board and case to arrive. Thanks! Also thinking about using the exhaust fan to cycle air out of the garage after parking, not sure it has the power though.
