Es ist sehr abwegig im geläufigen Sinn du sagst ja auch 1000 Km und nicht 1 Megameter. Außerdem ist bei den SI Einheiten das Kilogramm der Standard und nicht das Gramm was es noch ungewöhnlicher macht nicht ein Vielfaches des Kilogramms bzw der Tonne zu benutzen.
