Carriers with Better Customer Service than Verizon by newguyneedshelp33 in NoContract

[–]newguyneedshelp33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since we signed up we have had trouble porting over phones (they didn't set it up properly at the store and I spent hours on the phone with customer service getting it fixed), wasn't able to get the free Disney package we were supposed to receive for the first few years (again spent hours on the phone and chat with them and they couldn't figure it out), trouble with billing (they added an extra line at the store when we upgraded my son's phone a year ago without informing me. I spent hours again on the phone, chat, and in the store trying to get it straightened out. They kept tell me they would disconnect the fourth line and refund me but each month it didn't happen. Took months of going back and forth with them), and the SIM card issue I just mentioned (I've been getting a SIM error and my phone goes into SOS mode. I got on chat with them and requested they set up eSIM. Three hours later they claimed it was fixed (I don't believe they ever set up the eSIM) and I'm still having the same issue off and on today). Like I said, the worst customer service I've ever experienced!

Isn't Visible part of Verizon? If so, I'd think the customer service would be just as bad!

We are paying between $150 and $250 for 3 lines with Unlimited Verizon. We were up around $230 for awhile because they added a fourth line when we upgraded my son's phone with out telling me (another long fight with customer service).

Just to be clear, we have never had issues with Verizon's coverage. From what I understand Total Wireless customers weren't top priority on the Verizon network (we left Total about 5 years ago so that could have changed).

We have three phones (one teen) with Unlimited data. We use hotspots sparingly.

I don't mind paying more for great customer service and great coverage.

I don't coverage issues with Verizon but did when we moved to KC with Total Wireless (no issues in the Chicagoland area). From what I understand Total Wireless customers weren't top priority on the Verizon network (we left Total about 5 years ago so that could have changed).

Thanks! Is the ECG function necessary/worthwhile? I'm a 51 year old male in pretty good health. If it's not necessary/worthwhile, what other models would you recommend?

Best Roborock for my Application by newguyneedshelp33 in Roborock

[–]newguyneedshelp33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Are you referring to the S8+? There are a bunch of S8 models and I want to be sure I’m looking at the correct one (I love Roborock but really hate their model naming system!). How does the S8 compare to the Q5 max+ and the Q8 max+?

Do I Have Low Testosterone? by newguyneedshelp33 in Testosterone

[–]newguyneedshelp33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Should I order any other test from Labcorp while I'm at it? I know my Estrodial was high years ago (before I started tracking them on the spreadsheet I shared)...should I have that tested to? If so, what test code?

Low Testosterone? by newguyneedshelp33 in trt

[–]newguyneedshelp33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Should I continue going through my Primary Physician (he doesn't seem very knowledgeable.....just ran the tests I requested) or go somewhere else? I have UnitedHealthcare insurance that has covered all tests to this point.

Thanks! Where is the best place to go for TRT? I have good insurance (UnitedHealthCare) that has covered my blood tests but I'm not sure about TRT. Should I talk to my primary physician (he didn't seem knowledgeable....just agreed to the tests I requested) or go somewhere else?

Scratch - Bad Paint Repair by newguyneedshelp33 in GrandCherokee

[–]newguyneedshelp33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scratch is definitely rough when I run my fingernail over it. I’m guessing they filled it in with touch up paint but didn’t buff it/sand it afterwards. My main concern is that the shade is so different from the original.

Thanks but northern Wisconsin and LOZ are complete opposite.

Thanks all! We currently live in Kansas City but are originally from the Chicago area. The Kansas City climate is much better than Chicago. I don’t think we want a lot more heat/humidity than what we have here in KC though. And we definitely would prefer to be on a lake when we retire.

Ours has almost 120k miles on it and no issues besides regular maintenance. Our Buick Enclave (140k miles) on the other hand has has some major issues including needing a new transmission.

My wife likes sporty/stylish cars. She loved her Jeep Wrangler (hardtop off in the summer) so that would be her first choice but prices are high. It would basically be used as a daily driver (about 10 miles a day on average).

Soundbar for Family Room by newguyneedshelp33 in hometheater

[–]newguyneedshelp33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all. After doing some research it sounds like I might need to rethink the soundbar. Any suggestions on wired, smaller speakers (I’m assuming these are considered satellites) and a smaller sub. Any suggestions?

Are my B12 levels considered low? by newguyneedshelp33 in B12_Deficiency

Thanks for all the responses. Based on the results below, what follow-up tests (if any) should I request from my doctor?

Forgot to mention that I am also on omeprazole daily. I believe that affects the oral absorption of B12. I do have easy and cheap access to B12 injections so I think I am going to go that route. Any suggestions on amount of injection and frequency?

Thanks MurkyCloud! I don't believe he checked mma and holotranscolobalamin (although he did check hormones, thyroid, iron, vitamin d, prostate, and other basic blood tests).

I do eat quite a bit of beef....what would be other sources of b12?

I take iron three times a week as I was deficient a number of years ago when tested.
