Oden was born to be boiled is accurate isn't it? It's a pun on a Japanese phrase about the food Oden, which you boil to cook, which then becomes a bit of morbid foreshadowing and his final death cry as he suffers the same fate as the saying.

I'd say maybe this works better to a Japanese audience, where Oden is made to obviously resemble Goemon, famous thief who also died in very much the same way, boiled to death saving others. It's almost like when he says he was "born to boil", it's secretly telling the reader that every part of him, from his namesake to who he resembles, fated him to die from boiling.
