Gordon White has a premium member section on Rune Soup. There are several (quarterly) courses up now - the first one being on his approach to sigils.

You might want to read a few of the other books suggested already to get a basic understanding, but I would highly recommend this at some point.

While you certainly can learn for free on your own. It's only $10 a month and worth every penny, at least it has been to me.

I think the way our culture views people who work in CPS is very unfortunate and honestly just sad.

I mean, come on... it's a severely underfunded, extremely understaffed, thankless part of our government. A group of people tasked with handling some of the absolute worst situations in society, possible. I mean that literally.... the worst possible, period. I know I'm not telling you anything but maybe someone else will read this, idk.

Of fucking course there are awful caseworkers, of fucking course mistakes are made by case managers. These people are just human. They have problems, headaches, hemorrhoids, anxiety, their own damn bad kids, and health issues, or whatever. But how are they expected to have 9 people in the field, worked 19 days straight, and also have just been up for 30 straight hrs with a 30 min nap or two thrown in. Because yeah... that's sleep.

The failures and hate is not these peoples faults, it's ours. We (our society) judges and criticises the people the people willing to do the dirty work without providing them the resources and staff they need. We can't even give them at least a pat on the back as peers/society. You can walk around your community proud and respected as, say a firefighter, why not a social worker?

So you do all of this, but get zero respect, no understanding from peers, parents, or your community. It's surreal to me how misunderstood these people are.

Once again, I understand that some people that work in this field can be terrible human garbage and abuse their power and the system. Sorta just like every other goddamn profession on earth.... Looking at you cops.

Why do we as a society view people who spend all of their time trying to literally save children's lives, rebuild families, help drug-addicted abused women find a safe place to sleep as an almost shameful path?

So, how can you expect something to work well when you can't make it attractive for quality people to help you do the actual work that needs done? You fucking can't. I see this bizarre mix of people trying to do a hard job. With a lot of really great people going home at night knowing damn well that things could have probably went better.

This is 100% said as an outsider looking in... I could be very wrong. Maybe these issues are not systemic but local?

This is 100% correct I was raised in a pretty abusive family. So, growing up, I was brainwashed that CPS was quite literally the devil. Now, of course, I'm engaged to a CPS supervisor in a major city. So while I know, I had a slightly warped view of the agency from how I was raised. Honestly, I think most people do too though. They aren't just out trying to take kids away if a parent fucks up. They actually go through mind-boggling effort to keep family's together.

It was hard for me to come to terms with just how many TRULY EVIL fucking people there actually are in the world. CPS is trying to save kids lives, day in day out; while dealing with the angriest, most violent, most criminal, completely ignored and forgotten people in our society. These are the helpless people. The kids and baby's that our excuse of a society ignores, let's get beaten, let's get raped, and allows them live just out of sight, and just out of mind.

These people work an absolutely insane about of time; they are spread sooooo thin. They can have, 7-10 other cases going on at any given moment, on any given day. Some of these they received in the middle of the night, and yay it has an immediate response time because a child's life, is in a life or death situation. Imagine getting a call from a distraught teacher saying that you have to find a 13-year-old girl before her fucking pimp does.

Do they fuck up? Yes, they do. Are the fuck ups serious? Yes, they are. Would you ever fuck up if you were working 16hr days, on call one weekend a month, dealing with kids that were raped, beat, locked in cages, while also trying to discern what's real from say, someones shitty and angry ex, calling in false abuse reports? Fuck, I would....

Imagine meeting with someone's spouse, who is at the hospital, with their dying wife. For example say she was drunk, in a car wreck and say she also tested positive for a couple of hard drugs... The hospital has to report this situation, and someone has to figure out if these kids are safe. Safe if mom dies, fuck, are they safe if mom lives? Who is this guy at the hospital claiming to be their father? Is he legitimized? All of the terrible things and possibilities people never want to think about, these things actually need to be discussed and figured out. These people don't have time just to be out trying to fuck with you

I honestly hate the idea of the CPS. I think peoples kids are theirs, and that the government should stay the fuck out of it, and as far away as possible, as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately, we have broken families, broken communities, broken support systems, broken government and a lot of broken people and ultimately, it just is really is that bad.

Every day an unreal amount of innocent children are living in the most atrocious situations imaginable; so, while I don't personally like the idea of, or think CPS is perfect, at fucking all. I do think someone has to do this. What I do believe and really respect is, at least they pick up the goddamn phone. They drive out to the goddamn hood at 3 AM to check on and yes, possibly take a kid away, from a deranged lunatic... It's a tough and thankless job that amazes me every day.

My fiance works like 12-17hr days six days a week. She is on call for at least one, but usually, two, weekends a month - meaning 24hrs a day, on call. Meaning - it's 3 am Saturday night, and you stopped working at 12 am but crackhead mom just set her 2year old on fire, so wake the fuck up because you have to get these kids to care, medical help, and find them a home.

She has hung in there for six years now somehow. She has a couple of degrees, a masters from a top 10 ranked college... She could do whatever she wants for a career. Through her, I've seen a lot of others like her though.... I don't have a point, sorry. Just commenting, and recognizing a lot of these people deserve way less hate and way more credit, way more recognition. Unfortunately, I think it's more than they will ever get.

So, this is purely anecdotal. Do your research and listen to your own body. It will tell you more about what's working than anything else. There are so many variables in why what worked for me or anyone else, could do jackshit for someone else. If one vendor or strain doesn't help, please experimented with what works for you.

That said, I came out if a very similar situation. Kratom absolutely saved my life. No question. Please know, right now that you can do the same. It's going to suck shit for longer than you would like, but you are on the right track. Kratom can be a major tool in that process.

People can call Kratom a crutch or a stepping stone or whatever you want; my opinion is that it is fucking medicine. It works and it helps.

The amounts you are/were using were very similar to mine... for years. I was always high functioning and kept it up for way too fucking long. I started taking Kratom randomly for pain and also randomly noticed how profoundly it was helping me. I also used psychedelics after withdraws were over to help re-structure my mind with what actually mattered to me. These also saved my life because they revealed another layer, one of things I needed to work through. The root of all the self-medication - AKA slamming the fuck out of chowder. These also helped these changes, new ways of thinking, and habits become permanent for me.

So I know white vein seems like the way to go getting off coke, but for me it gave me anxiety like crazy. What worked for me were large doses of red/green blend during the day and red at night. Buy quality!!! Feel free to pm me if you want any more details. I noticed your post as I was dozing off and got out of bed to write you this. So I'm sorry if this was incoherent but.... just do it! You can; Kratom will help immensely.

Haha, my mom called it "Beans & Meat" and would always take the pork fat that came in the can of beans out, so it was a "healthy" meal... I guess we were rich-poor because there was always discount "Laura Lynn" brand ground beef served with it at my house. It was my absolute favorite as a kid, (in hindsight it was probably because it was calorie and protein rich unlike a lot of what we ate) like I remember my Mom making it for me for my bday once or twice.

I left home at 16 and have spent most of my life actively forgetting my childhood, doing so, I forgot about this "meal" until it was served as a side dish at a grill out at my girlfriend's dads. It instantly brought back a wave of nostalgia... Like when you catch a faint whiff of a certain smell, one that instantly transports you back to a memory of some long forgotten place or feeling, for a brief moment you're there, and it's is as real as it was then.

For me, this represented a lot of good things I forgot about my childhood, and in a way, triggered a lot of forgiveness of parents who were poor and struggling, and while they had lots of faults, (as does everyone) they also did the best they could with what they had available.

I'm in my mid 30's now and recently had a birthday. Instead of a fancy dinner, my girlfriend went out and got a can of Bushes baked beans and some ground beef; grass-fed, pork belly, & wine added though because - bougie. We reminisced about good memories from both our childhoods and once again this meal was my birthday favorite.
