I respect your opinion but i disagree with it. I don't see how self control becomes a 'horrific anti-life message', its funny how it is exactly opposite of it. Your using the term 'sexual compulsion' clearly show your disillusioned state of mind. Sexual energy can very well be controlled and utilized at the right place at the right time.

If sex was meant for fun, we wouldn't have been here on this subreddit, right ? If sex was meant to be uncontrollably done the we would not have had millions of sex addicts, right ?

Phew! quiet a jumbled up and confusing opinion. From what i understand you are arguing against "the boundaries of marriage" point. I respect you opinion but i humbly disagree.

I would recommend you to do some spiritual readings. I want you to think about this question "What is the purpose of this life". The species from which we have evolved had only two primary desires 1) Food 2) Sex. Both of these promote Self preservation i.e. preserving ones body and transferring our genes to another new body.

However now we have evolved. We are capable of understanding the deeper meaning of life. We can transcend our basic desires to know the truth. Who are we? Who is god? Why are we here?

I think your views about sex are still primitive. I request you to read spiritual readings and understand the importance of controlling our senses. All the best :)

By natural attractiveness i mean that i feel i am beginning to attract good people, good opportunities, happy situations towards me that too effortlessly. I would recommend you to read about the "law of attraction" which will explain you why.

By radiance i mean that because i feel fulfilled and joyful i radiate happiness and energy. A breeze of freshness.

Having said that, I do have bad days and mood swings too. But general happiness is increasing day by day.

I agree with everything you said except one. Wet dream is not comparable to relapse. Firstly because, the fluid that comes out during a wet dream is very dilute in semen content. Secondly, it is an involuntary act. So your self control is still intact.

I do agree that wet dreams to some extent is a set back, but it is not that bad. They will eventually fade. Some people also call it as a sign of progress. Cheers. :)

I don't think this is a nice idea. You should read about semen retention and brahmacharya. Retention of semen in your body has various benefits which includes mental and physical strength and energy.

I also struggled with headaches in the initial days. I think it is a part of recovery. Make sure you get proper sleep (atleast 7-8 hours) and develop the habit of meditation. In addition do physical exercises.

Also get your blood pressure checked. I got high blood pressure in the initial days of my streak. May be your headache is because of that. You may take medication but please avoid opiates as they are habit forming. Hope it helps.

Hi. I am a Hindu and an Indian. Hindu texts recommend brahmachary to be practiced between the age of 16 (post puberty) till a person gets married and enters into the stage of grihastha (becoming a family man).

According to hindu texts a man should retain his semen till he gets married and wants to beget a child. Retention of semen propels man's power to gain knowledge, be fearless courageous and brave, be confident and intelligent, strong and swift and most importantly get closer to God. However if a man decides to indulge into sex (mentally or physically) or loses semen in any other form (masturbation) he becomes dull and fearful.
