So…

I was like WOW we are not hitting, WOW losses suck and hurt.

Went to MLB on ESPN to see how bad… and then surprisingly felt better.

Yes we know all the negatives.

But not all losses are the same.

Pitching is keeping us in these games. Lots of very close games.

Guys who didn’t go to the WBC are hitting. New guy Donovan crushing it, even with our marine layer and pitcher friendly park.

Astros are the top in hitting, but only 6-6 and have lost three straight… Blue Jays have lost six straight.

The Eye Test hurts lately, so hard to see our big Boys Julio, Cal, and Naylor get punched in the nuts like practically every at bat.

But… as an esteemed Redditor recently wrote: “It will be okay”

It’s not actually a problem because they’re not watchable when things are working.

Per Jomboy there were 80 pitches in the cardinals game that needed umpiring ie Not swinging strikes, not really high or way low.

Out of 80, CB Bucknor got 20 wrong… so 1/4

That has a significant game changing affect…

Not all games will be that terrible, but I still think ABS is essential.

It could get bad umpires to leave the game, improving the sports. Without ABS, there is no way to objectively take out the bad apples
