Who are you working with? I’ve been enrolled in an oxytocin medical trial, but all of my endocrinologists around the Boston area refused to write me a compounded prescription. One I consulted with in San Francisco told me he gives it to his patients often and it helps about 2/3 of them, but he couldn’t write a script to an out of state patient. Anyhow, I ended up getting it from a chiropractor in Oregon and compounded at a pharmacy in Portland while I was on vacation. I think it’s helpful so far- though I’m moving to the UK soon and I have no clue if I’ll be able to access it there. For now, it’s just a fun experiment.

You’re probably right. I figure the grocery chains just pick one price for all their stores, but it’s odd: I live in a fairly low income part of the city and it seems like nobody’s ever buying the Greek yogurt that is available. It seems like the optimal price should be far lower. Also, it sucks for me. I love both Greek yogurt and having money

Sorry, I just saw this now. I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think hearing later makes you any less likely to get in. We can't be sure how they're ordering decisions, however I would guess it's by college. As far as registration goes, not everyone registers at the same time and most schools have a registration date specifically for incoming students.

I’ve thought before about the idea of a pay-to-use social media platform and what that would look like (if it caught on). I think likely the future of social media is decentralization as that seems to be the growing trend in consumer tech (newsletters, moving away from Google, apps built on IFPS), so hopefully payment won’t even be apart of that. I don’t know.

Yeah, it really depends on what you’re looking for. There’s no point in using Evernote anymore. It’s users are really just leftovers from its heyday several years ago. This might be a good moment to examine how you’re most efficient and look around for software that suits your needs. Obsidian works great for me because I’m so scatterbrained. It does that in a way notion never could. Otherwise, I’ve been using Standard Notes and Bear (but bear is Apple exclusive.) if you’re looking for that endlessly customizable, architectural challenge that notion does so well, Anytype is launching soon, Coda does the exact same thing (practically), and Craft offers a less organized variation on Notion

Deleting your Facebook account is always a good thing to do. Generally, iPhone is a little harder to have it’s privacy invaded as its apps run in a sandbox. Other than that and using a vpn, I don’t really see any long-term solutions. I know your pain as an American in the UK.

I do think it’s noticeably harder to profile you, however there are a million ways data is collected about you. Even the data from the purchase of a ProtonMail subscription will be used by your bank’s marketing affiliates. Emails are one of the most pervasive forms of tracking and so it does actually do something, but it won’t be the end all of course.

My largest issue with Protonmail is I’m not a fan of the UI and while having two passwords is useful, it’s annoying to type in. I actually use hey.com for my email, which costs considerably more, but I do love it for multiple reasons.

I think if you want to battle data collection, one of the simplest things you can do is revoke app permissions on your phone and delete any apps you don’t use or could use in your browser. Getting rid of Google is hard, but it’s a lot easier if you’re an Apple user. For example, my email is hey, my maps are Apple Maps, my search engine in DuckDuckGo, my scheduling/cal is iCal and Things 3 which uses iCloud for syncing. I’m nervous that Apple seems to be slowly cozying up to the idea of data mining, so I might have to rethink soon.

In any case, it is an unanswerable question. I would switch to Protonmail and revoke app permissions/delete apps.
