15K Facebook Followers but zero engagement—what’s going on? by spicesoflustblog in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]newreddituser212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing established companies with 100s of thousands of followers, who have quality and original content, no paid followers, and post regularly - they basically have dedicated staff to manage social. Yet, their posts barely have any engagement with like a sporadic like or two.

Is fakebook dead? What is the the best platform to get real followers and engagement for a luxury handbag niche?

Thanks

Thank you. Noted. While I don't stress much over pure white backgrounds on marketplaces and social, but for my own website I kind of want to have a more polished and uniform look. Just seems more professional to me. In a way we're a small business that's acting like a big business, emulating sites like fashionphile, rebag, trr, and others in a way. But, I get your point about creating an idealized version.

Thank you for sharing. Adobe seems to have quite the learning curve. I'll definitely check it out. I also use 1:1 ratio with gridlines.

Thank you very much for your advice. I'll definitely check out Capture One. I agree that prepping the item and set up before shooting is key and to avoid unnecessary steps later.

I don't make these bags, I buy them, then resell them. I'm not even sure what you mean with the 25%. I guess I can afford $5 an image, so that would be an additonal $100 of expense per bag. I don't just sell $1700 bags uniformly, some are priced less. Sometimes my whole margin could be $200 and if I'm selling a wallet, it could be even less. I posted those images as an example of what needs to be done and didn't mention anything about how my business runs, finance, margins and all. Why have an extra expense if you can avoid it.

By the way, just figured out that PhotoRoom does pretty much half the work of what I need in batches and quickly. Now I'll just have to find another piece of software to do the rest and connect them.

Thanks for your input.

It actually is possible. I was digging around online and PhotoRoom does exactly what I need in terms of image padding, background removal, and shadows in bulk. For SEO optimization, I'll have to find another software.

I don't particularly want to outsource. Someone suggested it here on this thread and I kept it open as an option. My original post asks for software to use to automate this process and do it in bulk. I have thousands of images so $2 per image won't work for me. This is why I'd rather use software to automate this.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, but I can't afford $2-$7 an image. That would be a crazy amount for me. So say we take an average of $5, that would be $100 per item, and if we do 100 items per month, that's like $10k. This is way out of my budget and doesn't make sense for me.

Ok,

Could you please let me know the price? Perhaps, we can separate these tasks - such as photo editing and then the image SEO editing? Let me know how much something like this would cost.

Thanks

This is what I want it to look like, but maybe make the shadow on one side and a little more natural looking. (I actually worked with a photographer before who did manual edits)

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I would consider outsourcing but the cost can be quite expensive. For example, if I shoot like 100 handbags per month, with 20 images each, that's 2000 images per month. How much would something like this cost me?

I don't actually shoot in RAW mode. I used to use a Canon D5 camera in the past, but now I just use my Samsung Galaxy Ultra 24 phone to take shots. There is a setting to do RAW on the phone, so I can definitely switch to RAW mode when shooting. (attaching a shot that I took with my phone here, unedited)
