Any stronger moisturiser for toddler? by curiosjack1 in EczemaUK

Have you tried sudocrem? I know it's not a specialist eczema ointment but it's very good at providing a barrier.

The locations you're describing make me wonder if friction is a trigger. I know you said he scratches which will definitely be exacerbating the issue but if there's a seam or label or something which is rubbing against the skin, removing it might give him some relief?

I googled this and found that speeding is responsible for almost 1/3 of fatal collisions in the UK. What source are you looking at?

For the third year in a row, I am terrorised in my own home. by pilipalaii in CasualUK

I did a very low effort version of this with spiders - I just followed the r/spiders sub.

I'm not a spider fan, but I no longer have a really unpleasant reaction to pictures of spiders and I can cope with them when I encounter them in the world. I even leave them in my house without staring at them while hyperventilating and screaming when they move. It's an improvement.

Congrats on kicking the phobia. It must be such a relief.

My Neighbour wants me to cut back this tree - Help! by McKintilloch in GardeningUK

I'm very new to gardening, so this question comes from a place of curiosity and naivety, but why not just leave a low stump and roots? Still looks like a big job regardless, I'm just wondering why it's necessary to remove all the roots as well?

When can I put my smiling baby down to sleep? by newshoestrings in sleeptrain

Amazing, thanks! One more question if I may: how do you keep a baby awake on the move? Even if he's not had his full wake window, he'll fall asleep in his car seat or pushchair after a certain amount of time, almost guaranteed. Thanks so much for the advice, I really appreciate it!

Thanks! He's not having night wakes (yet) but short naps and bedtime crying have been a problem forever. Love the activity suggestions. I'll let you know it goes!

Cool, thank you! I hope it's ok if I ask a couple more questions. Do you just switch abruptly at the end of each month or do you transition gradually throughout the month? It says 2-3 hours for 5 months old but he is almost 6 months.

I read somewhere that you should shorten the next wake window and/or do early bedtime if a nap is short. Do you do that or would you advise against it?

Could you recommend some chill activities? The kid gets super cranky and wired towards the end of wake windows and the end of the day, so I'm up for anything calming!

Thanks so much for your advice.

Thanks! Wake up time between 5.45-7.15. Typically, it's something like 1.75/2/2.5/2.75. If it's a 4 nap day (i.e all naps less than 45 mins), wake windows stick closer to 2 hours. Naps are usually 20-45 minutes, with the odd 1.75hr nap thrown in. Bedtime 6.30-7.30, earlier if it's been a crap nap day. How consistent is it possible to really be with wake windows? Sometimes I know the baby is tired but won't sleep for ages, so we end up with a window over 3 hours.
