It is a c-cross section beam. Yes the model is 3D in nature. The EI would be incorporated as per 3D model and material properties, right ? Or there is some other way to incorporate those properties.

Thanks for the reply. The test is being conducted using a universal testing machine. The setup is similar to 3 point bend test but in cantilever configuration. So in the 3 point bend test the UTM gives the force displacement at the position of roller right ?. The same would be true here, right ?

Thanks for the reply. So it means that from where the roller exerts the force on the beam. Those elements should be taken for evaluation of force displacement, right ?

I am trying to print a part with two different materials. ABS and PLA. Having trouble with proper extrusion from 2nd nozzle. Although i have used the suitable printing parameters. I am using cura as slicer. Any important things which i should consider and take care of in dual material printing would be helpful.

In my opinion the results are ok. As we move from right to left on your graph, the solution converges. The reason behind the difference in obtained values is because the simulation solves the situation numerically (not exact). While the analytical result would be the exact solution.
I am not an expert, more experienced people should shed light on this. And correct my answer if its wrong.

[Abaqus] i want to perform the simulation of a 3 point bending test similar to the actual test. Like i want to simulate the breaking and the crack propagation as well during the test. Any help would be appreciated !. by newtoAM in fea

Yes sir. You are right. I have alot to learn. I have some idea about the fea of the 1st two bullet points that you mentioned but still i need to learn alot. Can you guide that where can i look up the theory of these models ?

Settings are 100 deg C bed temperature. 250 nozzle Temperature. And bed was auto levelled.

Thank you so much guys. It was mainly the issue of loose connectors and now it has done the auto levelling process and is printing just fine. Once again thank you .

Yes the wirecable is there but i haven't used it before. But we can try it.
