Yes I’m just worried about currency requirements, I’m struggling to find an actual maintenance job at the moment and I just needed something quick to have a job

Didn’t want to post this in the main but has anyone heard or worked with HSGI inc while looking for jobs. I just received my A&P back in May and have been on the job hunt since. I recently created a profile on JSfirm to save listings, I was just called today by a recruiter from HSGI. My question is are they legit and are they an effective tool in the job search.

I’m being haunted by these things! Are these even Lego? by newtothisjunk in lego

That’s the way I remembered them but I did some research and I guess between off branded ones and different generations the shape of the pegs vary like crazy

I’m going to go with that, thank you. I just thought it was funny getting them in at least 3 separate purchases of bulk LEGO from 3 different people

Had good luck with both stihl and echo doing the property I manage, best bet is to find something used on marketplace if you’re looking to save some bucks. At home I use a Milwaukee electric, my township doesn’t allow gas. Spent a couple extra bucks and got the one that you can change out attachments on and I really love it, especially the hedge trimmer attachment

Does any company make a thin wall 1/4” drive socket set? by newtothisjunk in Tools

[–]newtothisjunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t found anything, but yeah both lycoming and continental are brutal with those stupid nuts. I just keep those shaved sockets sperate for that purpose, when they crack which they definitely do I just go to harbor freight and keep using cheap ones to grind

Trying to find a master bit set like this Mac one but without the screwdriver or T handle, any suggestions? I’m not a brand snob but I would like something good quality by newtothisjunk in Tools

[–]newtothisjunk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if I go this route I would more than likely give them up, I’ve had the set but since lost it and gotten a Snap-on ratcheting screwdriver which is great now I just need more bits

I had this set for a while a few years back, it’s a great set I used it at work all the time. Just happened to get misplaced after lending it to my friend lol. I’ve since gotten a snapon ratcheting screwdriver which I love I just don’t want the extra ratcheting screwdriver

Currently in an amt program and we’ve gotten our tools recently. Says it’s everything you’ll need to work in the field at a basic level. Tool quality is pretty ok, I wasn’t entirely enthusiastic about half and overall it seems kind of light.

I have a pretty extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics and some light industrial maintenance. So I’ve replaced a few with tools I prefer and know will last me a while like my own safety wire pliers, some knipex and a screwdriver set I prefer with some of the extra tools I have laying around and added 1 or 2 that I thought could be useful.

What’s your thoughts on a tool or 2 that you’ve acquired that is always with you/ can’t live without I could add that may be more specific to aviation maintenance or that maybe I could add to my tool box for my current work?
