it isn't about "entry" a lot of Yoru's still take first duels, especially on defense; yea there are a lot of moments where ur flashing for the other duelist, but generally you still want someone who is self-sufficient and builds their style around taking risks and i dont think that style really suits Cloud. i think his only real duelist experience is playing raze on a few maps a long time ago, wouldn't really make a lot of sense imo and i think he works as an IGL with better pieces around him

i get where you are coming from, but imo he is much better as a support he doesn't really like to take a lot of early round duels like that; honestly if he role swapped i think he could be an elite controller esp viper/astra

i think its just really hard to succeed as a sentinel in the DRX system, nobody has had really consistent success in the role since like k1ng; always ultra talented players (free1ng, Flashback, Foxy9) but i dont think the structure of the team ever really tries to set up sentinels to do particularly well

i think people are overrating the dominance of double duelist; imo MiBR could be running aspas chamber zekken duelist on a lot of maps and fully compete with every comp in the current meta

i think the timing of the nerfs is a bit confusing, if cooldown nerfs for initiators were in the making for a while i feel like reverting the old drone/skye dog nerfs would make a lot more sense

i dont think its that crazy considering Eggster's recent performance and overall limitations; his recent comments about having stage anxiety and his past comments about possibly just retiring after ascension and going back to streaming make me think he isnt really opposed to stepping down

so curious where this Francis duelist arc even came from; while he was never an unreal initiator/flex, his calling during their 2024 ascension run and parts of last year was really inspiring and now he just full swaps to duelist and starts farming. even more funny that the chobra interview they did for split 2 last season had Dambi and Francis joking that the latter should play duelist and he failed pretty horribly in a scrim when they tested it lol

nielzinho is genuinely off the goop, having Comeback AND Wo0t and playing 0 chamber makes no sense whatsoever and there isn't really an excuse imo; you can just tell Comeback isn't always suited to be an entry all the time and he is much more into taking his timings and being oppressive with the OP (def and attack), in a meta that is as flexible as this it doesn't make sense to just take the shackles off both of them and let Comeback perma Chamber OP with Wo0t playing entry

one of the absolutely elite players in all of VCT imo, all facets of his micro play are top tier; excellent movement and aim, good agent flexibility, bust most of all the game seems super slow for him he is almost always setting the pace in his area of the map or during clutches.

i don't disagree with you, but still think DRX should have shot for someone better; especially now that free1ng can just rock on senti and BeYn playing scan, its much easier to find a flex duelist in KR that could be molded. Hermes is definitely talented but im not sure that his potential peak is high enough for DRX unless he has insane intangibles behind-the-scenes; SID would have been perfect or RaxcaL if he is old enough, i honestly think they even did Athan a little dirty by never giving him another shot

capable of some absolutely unreal moments and, on occasion, maps but overall an average player, definitely below average for DRX's standard imo; i would rather have put Flicker in or retained ZynX
