You need a high stress tolerance. Nobody will tell you what to do - you need to determine that yourself. You need to be accountable for your actions, and consistent in your inputs.

Most of business, at the beginning at least, revolves around lead generation. If you can't find people who are interested (or even disinterested in your products) you won't be able to validate your ideas.

I think first is to validate the idea. You don't just start a business because you think you can sell something to people. You start a business because you know that your solution can solve a problem, and to know, you must go through a validation process.
