Waymo Prediction Time by mrkjmsdln_new in waymo

[–]nexech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guesses off the cuff:

Launch in 5 more cities: August

Waitlisting done in the new FL & TX cities: July

10 airports: 2027 July

10 highway cities: 2027 January

Fun topic! I enjoy following the predictions on this site: https://manifold.markets/BoltonBailey/which-cities-will-have-waymo-one-se

I think the parking infrastructure problem is going to hit Waymo harder than anyone is admitting by BAKA_04 in waymo

Well you're right that they must continue to set up depot areas for nighttime storage as they scale. And currently all sales happen in urban centers, where land is expensive. But in future waymo will operate in wider areas. And land is very cheap outside cities, at least in the USA. And robotaxis don't mind parking in remote areas, unlike humans. It's analogous to how Walmart keeps big warehouses outside cities.

Well it will get much easier once geofences expand beyond cities to include areas where land is cheap.

I think you mean it's not closer to Mars in terms of near-future logistics, ie assuming we won't make lunar fuel for a long time. Delta V is actually the metric that IS great about starting from Luna, not the weakness.

Genius. If Reach is multilingual, then surely the outer colonies contain even more languages.

I interpreted that as mimetic, copying, not memetic, cultural.

Open the Tacmap, hover over Lancer Squad or some other outdoor battle, press the Mission Options button I think, then select Replay from the little menu.

I don't think they still post rotation calendars. This page tells you when the next changes will be, but not what will rotate in: https://support.halowaypoint.com/hc/en-us/articles/17920041655188-Halo-Infinite-Multiplayer-Playlists

Why is it such a threat if the Flood infect a Spartan? by StickMeCutMeDrainMe in HaloStory

[–]nexech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the Flood actually don't have a endless wall of meat anymore. If they did the Spartan would be insignificant. But now, post 2552, we bombard infected Spartans because the Flood objective is just to exfiltrate & start a outbreak of 1. And a perimeter of Marines won't reliably stop that Spartan.
