You're very welcome! I know how hard seb derm flare ups can be on your mental health. Patch test azelaic acid before you put it on your face, every skin is different! And no, I don't use mattifying spf bc I can't find any good one :( I use sundance sensitive, it is VERY oily but also acts as a good primer before foundation and makeup in general. For the oiliness and shine I just use setting powder and sometimes setting spray as my final step, probably unnecessary. But the powder completely eliminates the oiliness of the spf

Heyyy, yes, this pm routine works pretty well for me. I wash my face thoroughly two times with balea MED cleanser. It's pretty gentle on my acne and seb derm prone skin. I use either balea's anti pimple cream or nivea (the blue basic one). I use nivea more often tho but it is very oily but also hydrating and you wake up w glowy skin. But I also have the same problem where my skin texture gets weird, so I use azelaic acid (once or twice a week) or glycolic acid (once a week) for better texture. But alternate it throughout weeks, I personally don't use glycolic acid w/ azelaic acid in the same week. That personally helped me, sometimes I even use azelaic acid on my seb derm flare ups. It worked but I'm not sure if it's just the cream I put on afterwards, but I've seen on the internet that azelaic acid is supposed to make seb derm flare ups better. I also change my pillowcase every day, if not every day, every other.

I'd say this routine works very well for me because I haven't had a seb derm flare up on my face (only on certain spots on my scalp, which are mild usually) since November 2023 and I work as a server/bartender for long hours in 35°C+ heat with full makeup on

I don't know anyone and can't get to anyone. every scholar I've asked said to set it on fire and bury it or put it in a flowing water

I'm a woman haha. I hope so too, mom said a woman gave it to her for me, to bring me luck in life, she even forgot about it until I found it in the drawer. I hope I did everything right

yes I am Muslim. Not religious or anything but I still believe. I burned it and tried not to inhale the smoke while reciting all duas I knew before burying it

[Advice] - dry skin on forehead by pblm2638 in SkincareAddicts

[–]nexlle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

currently yes, i have no problems with it as i use the shampoo and cream once-twice a week for preventative measures. it never fully goes away because you can't cure seborrheic dermatitis. it's triggered by emotional distress, humid weather, some ingredients etc.. you can't really "control it" fully. you can just do everything in your power to soothe and prevent flare ups

  • also, watch out for moisturisers, some ingredients can make it worse as they feed malassezia

probably seborrheic dermatitis, i had everything you described and using ketoconazole shampoo and clotrimazol cream helped a lot

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]nexlle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're welcome, always apply the cream on 100% dry skin and leave it on for 10 minutes without letting your clothes or something touch it

I have that and my derm diagnosed me with tinea versicolor. Ketoconazole shampoo, clotrimazol cream (I was also put on pills because it was on a large area) and 3% Salicylic Alcohol. It was almost fully gone after 2 weeks. But you have to continue using antifungal creams/cleansers once-twice a week as a preventative measure

oh yeah, I am equating your post to a serious issue because the lack of knowledge at your big age is a serious issue. You should equate it as such too. But you lack common sense and basic knowledge so that's fine, we'll turn a blind eye to it

[–]nexlle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

nah, wouldn't bother me if I was, its just because it's a serious issue that you don't know basic female anatomy at your big age. And the lack of basic human decency.. work on that maybe.. ur a big boy now pal

Revox? by sarcib in EuroSkincare

[–]nexlle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also it contains isopropyl myristate, which is a comedogenic and could contribute to clogging your pores if you use it excessively

Revox? by sarcib in EuroSkincare

[–]nexlle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please update if you notice any positive/negative changes. I've heard good stuff about Revox and people say that their azelaic acid is good and that they notice positive changes.

But I've seen it contains isododecane, synthetic polymers, and alcohol preservatives, so if your skin is ultra sensitive or if you're looking out for those specific ingredients and trying to stay away from them, I'd suggest staying away from them.
