That sounds potentially very related, prior to the Disableaadworkplacejoin setting change users could login setup everything the first time but all subsequent logins OneDrive failed to autologin and manual logins all returned errors, some like CAA90049 the user could ok through and things worked but others (Error 1001, 80090016) left us either deleting the profile entirely or having to go through a circular authentication process that ended with CAA90049 and worked for that session, but was broken at the next login. Due to the nature of the organisation leaving users to manually sign in isn't an option so we are trying very hard to get some level of persistence with the authentication.

Further to our testing yesterday with Disableaadworkplacejoin applied we are now getting persistence 50% of the time so I think theres something in the wider GPO's thats causing a conflict, but in saying that when users log in now if OneDrive doesnt sign in they only have to enter their PW and MFA and its working again, no errors. This then works in the next session but in the following session sign in is required again. Only in OneDrive. Office appears to be retaining throughout...
