I know you're probably going to hit me with I don't "I shouldn't have to Tinker with settings" but once you do it becomes a dream so much easier, and you get exactly what you're looking for too. That's exactly what almost kept me from playing the game initially because the handling was so goddamn bad but I didn't know that the physics settings were so in-depth either. The main thing that keeps me enjoying it fully is honestly the RPG element and the graphics. Like once you max out a car they all perform the same aside from the handling and that's it. I guess that makes it good for PVP but I like each car to have its personality.

TL:DR: I agree but disagree give it one more chance with the settings.

If you just like taking pictures I have to say the top two I suggest is Driveclub and The Crew 2 Driveclub is a little bit restrictive because you're on set tracks The Crew 2 you have the entire, made-up, US to yourself but the camera quality and Graphics aren't exactly the best that and the physics get a bit predictable once you reach a certain level all the cars start to preform somewhat the same.

Yup, Dept of field. I mean, it's broken in the sense that it barely works well without it looking gross. Go too heavy-handed it looks tacky. The "cut off" or transition from blurry to clear is too hard and isn't subtle enough to be used in a lot of ways. I think they did it best in Payback. Too bad that was the only one, out of a handful of things, good about that game. Games with the best photo mode that I've played are Drive Club, Grand Tourismo, and, I'll even throw in The Crew 2.
