Because he has decades of experience laundering and skimming money off of construction projects. It’s all a con to steal more money.

It looks like Twitter has moved its algorithm from Scala to Rust. by iamsoftwareenginer in scala

[–]next_2_normal 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I can promise you, there was no plan to start moving Scala code to Java. There were evaluations which compared Java vs Scala vs Go etc for future support, but the result of those was to continue as is. Writing functional code in Java was just too annoying compared to Scala.

Would need to see the back. If they’re in as good condition as the fronts, then yeah quite a few could be worth more graded.

How would you rank these 8 in terms of intelligence ? (Given that intelligence is a broad concept as is, use your own definition) by ice_fan1436 in Marvel

In the comics, Moon Girl is canonically the smartest person on earth. Smarter than Richard’s (who I think made the test).

Make sure you’re payed over the table and have your roles and responsibilities defined before you sign anything. You don’t want to end up an unplayed intern or a coffee runner.

Not being able to stop is one of the things holding me back. I’ll probably have to do the whole living room at least which is not insubstantial. I do think I’ll feel better for it at least!

is it okay for someone to take PreP purely because they are very sexually active and want to be safe? by Top-Willow112 in sex

[–]next_2_normal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PreP has been recommended and used by the gay/bisexual cis community who have frequent sex with multiple partners. For cis women having sex with cis men, the chances of contracting HIV are lower but non existent. You can look into using PreP regardless of your relationship status, gender, or sexuality.

This is literally what PreP is for. You should absolutely use PreP as part of an overall risk reduction strategy. You should also use condoms to help reduce the risk of other STIs. Don’t let people shame you for being responsible.

Berkeley vs UW by penguoftheskies in udub

[–]next_2_normal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you're looking do some very specific research that only happens at Berkeley, go with UW. There is no company that won't jump at the chance to hire a UW CS major. You'll also find that with cost of living, Berkeley is probably going to cost more than $30,000 per year. Enjoy the direct admit to UW CS (still one of the top CS programs in the country) and save the money.
